They've really come a long way & I think this kind of a discussion is important for them. It is quite a leap for Edward to put aside his 100+ year ideas about sex and catch up to Bella in the present, especially since he has no actual experience at all. It just melts my heart that he has only ever loved her.

This is a big step for Edward and their relationship shifts into fully turning into a couple. I'm looking forward to more "deep" conversations as E&B get to know each other more.

That chapter was great, but this time I found the cliff hanger a little more torturous. Well torture is a strong word, but you get the jist. I think I understand what the loop hole is going to be....but we'll just see.

I really like to see Rose and Bella bonding, because I think Rose's perspective has a lot to offer. She's knowledgeable, insightful, and objective, and yet still kind. It's telling that Bella did not readily agree to become changed should an accident happen because it shows that she's not being ruled by spontaneous emotions and she's in it for the long haul.

Yay!! I can't believe I'm saying this, but this was worth the wait. Their conversation by the fire on the (real) bear fur rug touched me so much and truly love the way they opened up to each other. You're right - this is not at all the relationship they would have now if he had stayed. They were too young and not ready for it.
Author's Response: Yes. They are much older now, and better ready to handle a difficult love (difficult in logistics, not emotion).

I'm so glad Martha has a clear head. She's going to have a heard enough time with Charlie, trying to keep him from doing anything stupid.
I hope that Bella's doing okay. The more time that passes, the more things get crazy.
I'm hoping that Edward can hold himself together through all of this.
