The intern that doesn't like Edward, does he gave a girlfriend at the shelter? I would love to see Edward get a piece of him! Another fine chapter!

Author's Response:

No, Chip doesn't have any relatives at the shelter. :-)

This story is incredible. I'll admit I was skeptical at first, but am in complete awe of the originality you've written. I hope Charlie's ego won't stand in the way of Bella's rescue.

A deer blind.  That is interesting.  Those are not exactly ADA compliant and someone would have to be pretty strong to get her up there by themselves.  I can't wait to see who has her.

Author's Response:

Ha. Yes.  She was carried. :-)

Boo on the faculty meeting for you.  Ours are rarely if ever interesting enough to justify the time. :oP

I love that Martha can keep them all on the straight and narrow--even Jacob.

Masterfully written, as always.

Very interesting!  Again, I'd rather have you write now than reply.

I'd be pissed too.  Of all the times to show up.

I'm on the edge of my seat reading these chapters.  It's crazy!

Oooh, a deer blind. Excellent.  Small, but not grossly common.  Brilliant!

The tension you're building is exquisite.

Author's Response:

Just had to say "thanks" on the blind.  You can tell I'm the daughter of hunters.

So glad these updates are coming fast!  You do a great job of building suspense.  I'm part looking forward to, and part terrified of, Charlie's arrival and reaction...

Wow, just started this story today.  I love the intro, very unexpected.  I also like the deep South twists.

Gotta give credit to Bella, the blood idea was certainly out there & not something anyone else would have thought of :) I like having Carlisle back because a piece was just missing without him. A ring is a perfect idea and I hope that E&B can be a little more public with their relationship. It's not like Charlie is going to hear anything and it's hard to believe he is the only reason they're not telling people. Is it because of the age difference thing for appearances or the length of time since Mark's passing? At this point, I just don't see how she's not going to become a vampire eventually, but I like it that nobody feels she has to.

Author's Response:

Keeping it from Charlie would be harder than you think. :-)  Bella doesn't want to abandon her father, and that's sort of what it would take.  But you'll find out more about Charlie later.

Our Bella is kick-ass and wise. Love it! Hopefully that is the last time the Cullens treat her like she is not capable of making her own decisions. B&E's conversation at the end about becoming a vampire or not was insightful and very important. It's not a decision to be taken lightly and the fact that she is having so much trouble making it shows that she is giving it the long term consideration it deserves. By the way, it really is the conversations that make this story. You take the time to really let us know what's going on inside of everyone's heads and that adds so much.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  And yes, I want all this to be a *progression*, not an instant choice, one way or the other, since that's not usually how people actually MAKE big life-changing decisions!

Wow, what an amazing woman Martha is!  =0)

I love Martha!  She's just sooo cool, direct, understanding and simple all in one.  I love the timing issue - "2 hours and fifty-three minutes", that Alice has, but I still hold my breath - hee hee.

Exquisite chapter - love all the detail and the plotting and character references.  So Good!  Amazing!...just Amazing!!!!

I love you, you and this story. Was it for me, it should never end, honestly.

And little snippits like "Never heard of nobody from Helen calling Jacksonville for takeout." are just perfect and hilarious and make me cry and laugh hard at the same time.

Alice redeeems herself with this drive. And Martha is being just Martha. We didn't get to know her too well, during the story, but maybe, via this chapter, we also get a glimpse of how great her son probably was!

Author's Response:

Martha and Mark are/were a LOT alike.

the second last sentence in chapter is so true. it helped me many times to through my problems.. to believe there is a reason. sometimes(usually!) we just cannot see the whole picture.

thanks a lot!

I had completely forgotten about Alice's vision of Esme with the shotgun. Now I'm worried about the other part with Bella...

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 07, 2009 12:27 AM · On: Chapter 48

Wow, so much love and patience from both of them.

Reviewer: twilove1 (Signed) · Date: August 06, 2009 11:54 PM · On: Chapter 47

That's a pretty important conversation for Rose & Alice to have with Bella, and I'm glad they're broaching the subject. Tough call, but I think I know where my heart would be. I think...

Reviewer: MichelleLee (Signed) · Date: August 06, 2009 11:23 PM · On: Chapter 58

Oh, you've been such a tease with these short chapters! Very interesting, but I hope nothing bad happens to Martha because she knows.

Reviewer: Capricorn75 (Signed) · Date: August 06, 2009 11:06 PM · On: Chapter 58

Yes, yes, yes! I can't wait to see Martha work HER magic!!!

I'm so glad that they went out shopping for their first Christmas & that they're both looking to future Christmases together. Alice's warning about the deer was funny.
