You are amazing. I freakin' puffy heart you!
*tears*
Seriously, this deserves a higher rating than 10. Twilighted needs to fix that for you.

Dang, a cliffie...
I'm in a conflict now, while I can't wait for you next chapter, but it would also signal that this wonderful story will be coming to an end.
I have always love your take on what are the repercussions of Edward's leaving in NM, not typical, not cliche. Furthermore, I also enjoyed the maturity in Bella that you portrayed, and also the disability thing which is a rare thing among fics that pictures the aftermath of Edward's departure. You also even managed to flesh out Rosalie's character, which is also another rarely seen thing.
Would be both looking forward and not at the same time (I don't want it to end, but all good things must come to an end... *sigh*) for your next few remaining chapters.

You drug me from one end to the other, emotion wise, and you deserve a standing ovation. This chapter is absolutely amazing.
The beginning is wrenching, and I started to cry almost immediately. The things they had to do to make it "look good" were horrible, but in life you do what you have to. Rose taking care of the "necessities" afterward made me smile. Then when Charlie and Martha are there, I was crying again. The bedside conversations were wrenching. I felt so sad for Martha. I think Charlie may have something of an understanding for what Edward did when he left Forks, and just how much he does love Bella.
Edward's anguish is palpable. When Martha was comforting him, I broke. Her scripture, and Edward praying did me in.
The calls to Ted and Chip, and Edward's plans for Chip's future, gave me a tremendous amount of satisfaction. That really is the only thing that will hurt Chip, isn't it? Brady is weak and I don't think he will last long in prison.
But, the last bit knocked me off my feet. I love that they are frozen in shock. It is a powerful image, particularly after the way you earlier emphasized that she couldn't sit up unaided. It was perfect.

OMG, what a gruesome experience for all of them, vamp, shapeshifter and human alike. I'm sorry for Bella and Edward that the change had to occur under those circumstances, but the way your story was structured, a pieceful and predetermined change (like a c-section) with her family around waiting for her to wake up, would just not do. It was not, what Bella would have wanted. My heart stopped for a minute, though, when Edward declared that Bella was already dead. I wouldn't have put it past you, to have ended the story that way. A very human way to put an end to a years-long love story. I'm glad you didn't though :)

Sad. Totally consuming. Expected. Big question now?...what's Bella going to be like after the change??? Alas, it's too late to read the next installment, so I say adieu until tomorrow.
Absolutely fantastic story. The co-ordination of characters must be difficult to keep straight - but, you've done an outstanding job!

Awesome! I wonder if Bella will now accept more help from others based on this bad decision??, if she lives! Hopefully, she's just going into shock....oh! next chapter's up!

Yeah, don't country doctors tend to 'jaw' a bit, especially if they can generally point to someone else, but not really say anything that could implicate themselves. Well, you know the stairway encounter would come up, why else would you put it in there???!!! Fantastic story and scene...thank heavens Hannah came up with the best tip so far.

Of course it's Fox news... those asshats.
Author's Response: I'm afraid the journalist in me just HAD to take a potshot. Can't stand them. I'm not a fan of broadcast journalism anyway (for a lot of reasons I won't go into), but FOX makes my blood boil. The only broadcast news I listen to is PBS or the BBC in America. Occasionally, I'll put up with CNN, but it very much depends on what the show is, or weekly specials like NBC's "Meet the Press." (Now, some of the CNN *specials* are actually pretty good, but their daily shows, not so much.)

Holy crap, this is such a good story!!!!!!!!!! The best actual writing I've read on this site and the plot is unique and so good right now! Can't wait for more. I'm usually not a WIP person, but am glad I picked up this one...

I LOVE that story about Palin - had never heard it before (the part about the song writer). Thanks for enlightening us! And since I met to review on the wedding chappie but forgot: I love love love that you put Bella in an old time wedding night gown - it's so different from what's usually portrayed but I think you're totally right that Edward would love it.

Adrenaline was pumping through my body as I read this very chapter! Now to calm down and say: "Thank you for a heart-wrenching update." I'll be here for your next. =)

I already reviewed on ff, but I was rereading and had a rather giggle worthy thought.
' "If it were her lying here on the ground -- or one of your babies -- and we could save her, what would you do?" Something in the wolf boy's eyes alter. It's understanding. Emmett only nods.'
Half-wolf half-vamp immortal children! I have this image in my head of ~8 year olds buzzing on caffeine and pixie sticks, dodging "Uncle Edward," and then turning into wolf cubs to get away from Mom and Dad through a small little doggy door.

I have to admit, I did yell at the computer screen, but only for a few seconds. This is a very hard chapter to read. I see good things on the horizon though!

Okay, Rosalie says *now comes the unpleasant part*...AFTER the bite, the death, the gore?
Shaking my head here...that girl is awesome...and I have complete faith in you...
