What a gorgeous trilogy of vignettes. I wept and rejoiced. You and Bella have both come full circle. Congratulations on the one year anniversary.
I am so very thankful for this story. I am thankful this is the first and only B&E fic I'll ever need to read that is centered around Bella being paralyzed from the cliff jump. It was a premise I thought about myself quite often and I praise the day I found your story. Beautifully woven and written tale Katie.
You took your time and let it unfurl gently, but tenaciously, into our hearts and minds as a wonderful display of canon AU. You had my devotion as a reader, you have my admiration as a writer, and undoubtedly my respect, as a person with an SCI, for your research and accuracy.
Bravo Katie.
~Kari
Author's Response: Thank you so very much. It means a LOT that somebody else with SCI (besides my sis) read and liked this story, and felt it accurately portrayed the struggle. I was a little uncertain about taking it on, but I wanted to give some insight into the courage I see in my sister and others I know with SCI. But mostly, to write about being not perfect physically, and still being perfect in one's soul. :-)

Ijust started rereading this today, even though you're finished I'm not ready for this wonderful story to end. Please forgive any mistakes I've made in writing this review. It's hard to type while you're crying like youjust lost a family member.
Author's Response: [[hugs]] I'm only a grammar nazi about my own writing. Ha. Thank you for the sweet compliment!

Thank you. This was one of the best stories I have ever read. Anytime I recommend Twilight fanfic to a newbie, this is the story at the top of my list!I loved the ending, you did a great job with an original charachter. I plan to re-read this story from the start after a little break to enjoy the flow of a complete story.
Author's Response: Wow! Thank you! So cool! And I hope that if you re-read it, it hangs together as well!

I've been following this story since (I think) around last October and its been an extraordinary ride. You've done a wonderful job and I hope if another story ever enters you're mind you'll write some more. Thanks from one of your loyal readers!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it and stayed with it so long!

I've enjoyed this story so very much. One of the essential parts of the books is this issue of Edward's faith - or lack there of. Spirituality is such a very fascinating part of their vampire existence. You've addressed that so beautifully here in a way that feels like you offered Edward healing and a chance to become whole. That concept - the idea of becoming whole again - is a big part of the premise of your entire story. You addressed that with so much more depth and meaning than I've seen before. I not only enjoyed this story thoroughly from an entertainment standpoint, I also felt like it made me think and reflect on ideas and beliefs that are very meaningful to me. Thank you for investing so much of yourself into this story. I really appreciate all of your hard work.
Author's Response: Thank you! And yes, I think faith (or lacking faith) IS very important to Edward. I'm not, myself, a particularly religious person, but I know people who are, and I respect them. I felt throughout the books that Edward really *wanted* to believe but just couldn't ... or needed some sort of "permission" from an authority figure he respected. Martha gave that to him, and Bella's healing (however imperfect) made him believe again. :-)

Beautifully written and a wonderful story to escape into and get lost.

Excellent ending for your story. The Renee ghost stuff cracked me up - well, Jasper filming cracked me up.
Edward's renewed faith was probably my favorite part. Not that i'm a religious person, but his whole belief in no soul was such a huge unresolved issue in the books that I love seeing it get resolved in Blink.
Great job!
Author's Response: Jasper was supposed to give a little levity to something that could, otherwise, have been REALLY hard on Bella.
And YES. I'm not really religious, either, but I felt like *Edward* is! So it was important for me to give him some resolution there.

Congratulations! I look forward to any outtakes but I can understand the need for a break. Thanks for sharing this story. I really enjoyed it and as I mentioned in my last review, it inspired me. I hope I can make Rose proud!
Author's Response: Thank you! And I'm so glad if it made anybody like Rosalie a little better!

Thank you so much for this amazing, beautiful, and obviously heartfelt story. I fell in love with "your" Bella, Edward, and all of the Cullens all over again, and it was great meeting Mark and Martha. Your insight into human nature is nothing less than stunning. I hope that you write again, but even if you don't you have left quite a legacy. Best wishes.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! And it was near and dear to my heart, so I was happy to share it!

This has been a beautiful story. The epilogue was perfect in all respects, in my opinion.
Lovely ending. You've been a brilliant contributor to the fanficking community. :)

well i wonder if you noticed I disappeared? I decided to wait to finish it until Bella's hair grew out. I think it should be long enough by now, so I'm finishing. No, I was just letting some chapters build up and then I was getting these chats about scary cliffees and well I just waited, but I'm still here and still a fan, and I think I'd switched over to ff.net, but I'm reading at work today - so here I am. I may switch back again later :)
OK so this is all very intense and exciting and I'm scared, but I'm so glad Charlie knows cause now she can be a vampire. I hope. Please.
Author's Response: I can't say I blame you for waiting, actually. It wasn't a hugely long wait ... and it's all done now, so no more waiting!

Magnificent! Glorious! Exceptional! Extra-Ordinary!.....and any other profoundly generous praising expletive you can think of. I dearly hope that inspiration strikes you sometime soon and another masterpiece comes forth, for our reading pleasure.
I must admit than at first, my impression of the summary was, meh!...so what? Ya, ya, Bella jumps and ooops! hurts herself - dumb, stumbling Bella..... Man, Was I WRONG! Beat me with a wet noodle until I succumb...I give!, I give!
Fucking Marvelous! I'm impressed to death! Brava! Brava!
Author's Response: WOW!!! Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it and thought so highly of it! I know the summary isn't the best, but I wasn't at all sure how to write it that didn't give away too much. But I'm glad people gave it a chance and then recced it to firends. It means a lot!

Great recovery for Bella! Love the cow blood joke *hee hee*. I hope Bella does get some vindication from Brady, even just a little bit....
It's so great that Bella can walk, even though her brain doesn't really remember. I would think that changing would do that for almost all bodily systems.
Love, love, love this - going to read the next chapter.

Amazing fanfiction story!
One of the best ones I've read. I always admire the fact that you do some research before you write so that things aren't more ridiculously unbelievable than they already are with vampires.
Oh, and in this chapter, you wrote, "'I'll aks him,' Esme says now." Did you really mean "aks," or was it a typo? (I'm not sure if "aks" is some older way of writing "ask," but the meaning is obvious, so it isn't a big deal.)
Anyways, great writing. I'm a bit upset that there won't be any more stories coming from you, but I'm also much more a reader than a writer, so I somewhat understand. (:
Author's Response: First, thank you! I love reading fanfiction, but sometimes I do get a little frustrated when authors don't fact-check. I think readers come in two types, those who really prefer fact-checked stuff, and those who don't really care, so I guess I fall into the first category!
Second, yes, that was just a typo, not a weird way of writing "ask"! Thanks for noting it!

I have liked this story from the beginning...I love the fact that this was your "flirtation with the dark side"...it was great! I would have thought you'd been doing this forever. :-)
Can't wait for the epilogue...this was one of the first stories I started reading and while I don't want it to end...all good things must come to an end. It's been a wonderful ride, so thank you for sharing.
Author's Response: Thank you! And I have been writing a while, just not fiction! :-D

I am in love with what you did with the wives. In the book you almost get the feeling they're meek, which I think is terribly odd with the idea of a superhuman vampire. I would imagine that even among all the vampires females a story like Roses or Esmes isn't at all unusual.
Even if you never write another piece of fiction the one you wrote is so spectacular that it's more than able to stand on it's own.
Looking forward to the epilogue.
Author's Response: Thank you again! And I'm glad you liked the Wives. It seems to me they *cant* be meek little wimps, not if they're REALLY the mates of the Volturi!
Reviewer: Dragon81 (Signed) · Date: August 23, 2009 04:04 PM · On: Chapter 66
Wow, I love that unlike BD Bella wakes up confused and not sure of what's going on. I love how you describe the way when she looks at the cow. Yay that she only basically has to relearn to walk.
Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you! And I didn't want it to be too easy for her, if also not as bad as it could be. A middle road.

Muhahahaha I love the revenge that Edward has for Chip!
So very glad she's sitting up on her own, hopefully that means she can walk too :-)
Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you! And Edward is nothing if not appropriate in his revenge. :-D

This was an exceptional story.
I like that it was weaved with a perfect balance of Medicine, Social Sciences, Law and Religious Studies. It not only allowed us to see another possible outcome for New Moon but gave an interesting insight into the life of a paraplegic.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and enjoyed all the different aspects of it!

Hi, this is one of the best documented stories I've read. Sorry to hear that you're not planning another. I must say, i enjoyed your writing a lot. (Sorry for my english, motherlanguage is dutch)
Author's Response: Thank you! And no need to apologize about the bad English. I get feedback from some native speakers that's worse than yours!
