Author's Response: I mostly just decided to write about things I already knew a fair bit about, which helped a lot. :-) What I couldn't remember, or wasn't sure of -- or needed more specifics for -- I looked up. In RL, I was a journalist (now college speech teacher), so research is second-nature.
Btw, I'm not responding to all your comments, but I am trying to respond to questions or similar. :-)

i like how you address his "age", that never really made sense to me; was he a dirty old man or an immature old man. Alice's explanation feels right on.
Author's Response: LOL! Yes, his REAL age always bothered me more than I think it bothered some. I mean, come on! He may look seventeen, but not because he really is! Well, sorta ... :-)

i've always felt sad that there's so little about esme, but what little there is is so perfect, it was almost creepy. i think i might like her more now because she feels more "human".
Author's Response: That's exactly the reaction I'm hoping for. Some want her to be perfect and plastic, but really, that's neither realistic nor interesting. I want her to be REAL.

you obviously have some insight to the inequities experienced by those who use wheelchairs. i spent four summers working with students with disabilities and was shocked at how difficult it was to take them to the bathroom or manuever in some buildings. thanks for enlightening your readers.
that said, i am really enjoying your story.

Best line, IMO: "At some point, two roads diverged in a yellow wood and he took the one less traveled by."
It captures the concept perfectly, and I really like the nod to Frost.
And, to be perfectly candid, I've had a lot more sex that goes like this rather than any other lemon you might find in the fandom. The best part is when someone bursts out laughing for one reason or another :)
As always, a wonderful chapter. Can't wait for Alice's vision to come to pass and force Edward's hand... or something.

i think its so sweet....that he gave her a ring and said the whole vow thing by themselves. thats how i would love to have my wedding....the fewer people the better.
i lovede the feathers thing...that was awesome. thats one thin i hope to see in the breaking dawn movie....

I am always amazed at your ability to portray the thoughts and feelings of the 100 year old virgin :) But I think you've done such a great job here of bringing up things and situations which are very realistic and most people wouldn't even think about! This story is so much more realistic fiction than most fanfiction I've run into.

Great chapter! I'm glad that Bella compromised with Edward to start growing their collection! I also can see what happened with that clerk being real. My mom has had many surgeries and has had to use the wheelchair carts in stores or even a wheelchair in general. People can be so rude and inconsiderate!

Oh man, that was soooo good.
Loved the BD nod in this case and I like how Edward is Victorian and modern all in the same breath, he's adamant about needing the promise but is ok with however it fits with Bella as long as the intent is there. The ring scene was very touching.
Is it wrong that I hope Rose and Emmett were home, just so there's some Edward teasing? Everyone's so serious all the time! It was nice the way Edward's mood was light at the end (of course everyone is light post O huh?)
