Yes, Lacuna's version of Enjoy the Silence is good. Especially since, as a Depeche Fan, I'm on the fence about the original....

"Running Up That Hill" is better by Placebo.  And "Heartless" is better by The Fray.  :)  Those are the first two that came to mind... there are probably more.

Another wonderful chapter!  Can't wait for more!

OMG I love this story ... it's fantastic!

And I think Romeo & Juliet by the Indigo Girls is a better cover song than the original (by Dire Straits) although The Killers version is pretty good too, not as good as Indigo Girls though. Oh and I love the Guster version of Nothing but Flowers

thank you for such a great story, I can't wait to read more!!

Rufus Wainwright's cover of Hallelujah... imho, so much better than the Leonard Cohen original

I'm loving this story!  I can't wait to read more!  Good luck with the "culinary boot camp".

I'd have to say, while I absolutely adore Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' original version, John Mayer's live cover of "Free Fallin'" is so full of emotional musicality, that I can't help but like it just a smidge better.

Leona Lewis - A moment like this

I'm a sucker for her voice

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow is one of my favorite songs... puts a smile on my face every time.

Much like this story.   Love the shy overtures and awkward gestures between Bella and Edward.  And I'm looking forward to more!

Very cute chapter, the CD gesture made me smile and Edward's "Spice Grils" comment on Emmett's wall was pricesless!

It doesn't matter how they are became friends on Face Book, what does matter is what are they going to do about it?  Now we know Edward likes things about Bella, truly wants to get to know her, right?  We also know Bella is interested in Edward.  First thought it was a joke, okay in the beginning it was a joke from Emmett and Bella ignored the friend's request message.  Then Emmett sent it again, Bella with advice and being threatened by Alice sent accepted message.  Edward gets upset but secretly likes it to get to know her better.  Then send music lyrics to frighten her off.  Mixed messages.  Then when Bella interprets the meaning and wears a Pearl Jam T-shirt, it freaks him out and then sends he likes Pearl Jam.  Now the CD burned for her, afraid to give it to her, then does.  Mixed signals all the way, acceptance online and at school what nothing, but one word acknowledgments to each other or being ignored.  Only to have each of them checked the other out of peripheral view,  Come on just admit you are interested by the other person.  Talk as friends.  Communicate about Bio and how you hate Mr Banner or  your mutual interest in music. Whether online, notes in class, or talking before and after class.  Or talk at a mutual meeting place away from all the other gossiping classmates.  There are enough places in Forks away from the crowds just to talk about anything and everything.  Take a bloody chance for Pete's sake.  Nothing ventured nothing gained.  The talking appears to be starting about music online, when will it spread  to every day?

Great chapter - I am really liking your fic so far and am looking forward to more.  Glad they are breaking some of the communicaton barriers, and Alice and Jazz are pretty cute too.  And I love Mazzy Star.

Lots of fave covers - Big Head Todd & the Monsters - Tangerine, The Sundays - Wild Horses,  DMB - The Maker,  to name a few...

Yay for CD making! lol. They are so darn cute. Great chapter! I can't wait for them to finally have a conversation. When will all the other girls in school take notice of what is going on between them?

John Mayer's cover of Free Fallin'

Reviewer: Angel_Joy (Signed) · Date: September 23, 2009 12:03 AM · On: The Way

Just read the first five chapters straight up.  Really enjoying where it is all going.  I've got to say "Running up that Hill" originally by Kate Bush, totally better when sung by Placebo.
