Once Bella makes up her mind, that's it won't stop.  She impressed Edward with her grand gesture.  Just as Edward would have done with having his piano in her yard under her window.  So both were at the same point.  Bella doesn't have to prove anything to Edward.  Everyone has secrets they don't tell anyone.  Things that really aren't necessary to who you are today.  The past is just that, the past.  It molds and shapes who we will become as we mature.  This process doesn't just stop at high school it continues until the end of our lives.  Edward loved the person she is and their connection of who they both are is music.  The lyrics say what they think and feel.  At least now Edward can communicate through words instead of just music.  So can Bella-their connection is wonderful and cute.  Not sure I would offer to carry a guy's backpack though.  Guess I'm old fashioned it's the guys who do the lifting and carrying.  Talking giving and taking of themselves building and strengthening their bond or relationship.  Sometimes you have to go through pain to become stronger and overcome past demons.  Through pain comes change and hopefully betterment.  I think Bella and Edward have suceeded in betterment of who they both are and what they feel for the other as well as themselves as a couple.  The songs you picked both were great songs for your story.  For finale how about "Still the One" by Orleans.  Just a suggestion I like your music choices.

I hadn't get last chap. that one of the songs Edward uses was "Lover You..."  that's why I guessed that, then I realized that it couldn't be Bella's boom box song...

anyway, it was great! I guess sometimes you sigh a little at Bella, but, everybody needs their process and bumps, what'cha gonna do, huh?

I really laughed at the Plastic Fantastic dude singing "I want to know what Love is" it just bubbled up my throat suddenly and unexpectedly, really great ^^

I'll wish for your sanity, and if there's anything I can help (I know there's probably not much, and you have friends and all  but...)
