I want Bella back.  I keep feeling like she's still somewhere inside "Isabella", but I want her to come out.  I don't want her to truly hate Edward or the Cullens.  I can see her being angry, and even hateful.  I mean she believed what Edward told her when he left, and she has no basis to believe anything else about the Cullens other than they didn't love her like she thought they did either, because they left her as well.  But I don't want her to hate them.  I'm an Edward and Bella girl, and want to see them in love and happy together forever -- regardless of the journey they have to take to get there.  And if this is where you are headed then I will be a happy camper.  However, I have to admit that I have spent most of this fic in tears.  And when Isabella almost kissed Demetri, I felt like I was going to be sick to my stomach.  I do hope that in the scene that is your prologue, Bella chooses to side with Edward and the Cullens.  My hope for this stems from the feelings of sadness, depression and betrayal that Jasper felt when he first saw her.  Yes he also felt extreme hatred, and that just tore me up.  Like I said before, I don't want Bella to hate Edward or the Cullens.  But if she can also be sad inside and depressed, then it's possible that the love she felt is still there inside, and something -- perhaps the confrontation -- will bring it to the surface.  If she ends up with Marcus, Demetri or any of the Volturi, I will just be sick.  What can I say?  I'm a hopeless romantic, and for me Edward and Bella have to end up together forever.  (I'm also hoping that by shielding Edward from Victoria, Bella was letting the love that she hopefully still has for him show, even if she didn't realize that's what she was doing.)

Sorry I didn't review every chapter, but as I said, I spent most of them in tears, and kept readiing, hoping something would happen to make things better between Bella and Edward.  I will review up coming chapters, though.  I have to say that I do hope something happens soon to turn things around.  I don't want Edward to give up, and I want Bella to realize that she still loves him, and for her to find out he lied to her, so she will know he still loves her.  I ache for that.

Thanks so much for an interesting -- if very emotional -- read.  I like emotional if it ends up where I want it to go.  Go figure!  :)

BTW -- I loved your choices for dresses.  They really fit the personalities of each character.

Wow, what a story so far! Though I am all for Edward's and Bella's reunion, I have to say that I really don't want Bella to leave Marcus because he really loves her too, though I still can't tell if it is fatherly love or more than that...and what is up w/the sharing a kill thing? At this point, I may hate Bella if she leaves the Volturi after they took care of her and really love her, but she also needs the Cullens in her life, too. How frustrating!! This is a really great story, so different.  Update, update, update!!

aaaaaawwwwww my poor edward!! i can't believe esme slapped him!! i kno he kinda deserves it but he did wat he did outta love u cant fault him on that awww i wonna cry althought i did lol at the sneak peek!! so i'll 4give u 4 makeing me cry it's not ur fault u just have such a beautiful way with words can't wait for the next chapter!!

Sorry, I forgot to review so I came right back. Loved this chapter. I have a feeling Marcus is reading a whole lot into that shared meal. ugh. Loved the hall and Bella's dress. It makes the story play out very clearly in ones mind.
