This is awesome. I don't know how I missed it when you were posting, Carlisle is one of my favorite characters, and reading this story is an experience I'll be sharing with all my Twiloony friends, even the losers who 'don't read fanfiction'. I could say Stephenie wrote it & by the end they'd be like, 'Really? It's too good! Where's the chagrin???' ahahaha :P

What a fabulous story! I think you did a fantastic job! I thoroughly enjoyed all of it, and am not ashamed to say that I cried at work reading about Carlise's death (because I couldn't stop reading!) Such a wonderfully involved and complex character, I think you did him a wonderful justice.

You are not alone on that one. I actually recently got a message from a reader that said she mourned for three days after she finished the book, and when she contacted me she was still sad. That really just shows the power that these characters have. I really hope that the Epilogue gave you some closure. When you have a chance please let me know. I'm really glad that you enjoyed it.

Amazing! You did such a fantastic job of weaving all of Carlisle's back stories into this section. I felt like all of the bits from the actual book took on so much more meaning from all of the histories that you created. Literally each character that Carlisle encountered in the past was transformed within this chapter. Amazing! Can't wait to find out what happens next.

I am a major addict of this story. You are such a talented writer. I feel guility for not leaving a review for every chapter--each one is amazing and so original. I just can't stop myself from clicking 'next' next 'next'! It is addictive. Quite the page turner. You are such a fantastic story teller.
I love the whole Esme and Edward intros. Carlisle and Esme's bond with Edward in Twilight is so much easier to understand with all of this background. You have done an amazing job introducing characters from book 4 and really bringing them to life and weaving them effortlessly into the story. Thank you for sharing this amazing story!

I am totally consumed by this story--Carlisles changing, his relationship with Carlisle, the family crest, his time in Paris. Carlisle is actually still alive in Eternal Sun. It is set in the fall of 2071, right after Carlisle's last visit from Alistair. There are a lot of time gaps in Waning Moon, and there are a lot of stories that I have outlined that did not make it into the book which have potential to become other stories/books. Eternal Sun is one of those outlined stories that is becoming the next book.
To answer your question: yes. One of the BD vampires is going to die. However, since you know the end of Waning Moon, you can feel certain that none of the principle family members will die in Eternal Sun, though I cannot promise they won't be harmed!!
The bit of Eternal Sun that is posted is just a PREVIEW. The rest will be posted in early 2011. Enjoy!

I read your story in its entirety two days ago. From start to finish, I devoured it. Your writing is brilliant, and the attachment I felt to Carlisle (as you present him) was immediate and incredibly strong.
I must confess, I haven't ever read a word written by Mrs. Meyer. I have watched the first Twilight movie once. Something made me find this forum, and unfortunately, yours was the first story I read. I say unfortunately, because I am now afraid to read anything else. Although yours is the first Twilight FF I have read, my experience with other canons tells me that your writing is a rarity.
I feel the need to point out that I felt your talent was most evident when you weren't tied to recreating the events of the Twilight series from Carlisle's point of view- no, your talent was strongest when you were able to take his character and give him depth- the tale of his human life, transformation, and the centuries before Twilight begins were without a doubt my favorite parts of your creation. There were several points in the story (the first time Edward left, Carlisle's first broken heart) that made my eyes fill with tears, but when I got to the end- when Carlisle meets with the Volturi on his deathbed, and most especially when he shares his memories with the family via Edward- I was sobbing.
I thank you for the hard work and dedication you put into this work- and maybe someday I'll read the actual books and hope they can live up to your work!

I am fascinated that you have had so little exposure to Twilight but you were still able to follow the story, that is great because hopefully I gave enough information about the books that it wasn't too hard without the background. And you are not the first to tell me that the "book" chapters are not the strongest part of the story. I quite agree. Writing canon stories is tough, and often has quite a few problems. It can be maddening.
I'm glad the emotional parts really connected with you, and I am a bit intimidated by being your first FF experience on this website, there are MANY other good stories on here, I actually need to start reading more of them, I am just buried in school work right now! Stick with the "Featured Stories" first under the "Browse" section. You should also read the originals, not for "great" literature (there are only a few current writers who I consider 'great' ;)) but to really understand Bella and Edward better, and to see where it all started.
