awww.. Bella sees the real Edward buried in there through those sparkly green eyes..
I truly LIKE this Bella, that's not something I can always say as she usually gets on my nerves with the whole insecure plain girl thing.
I am truly happy to read this story as it counters the norm. One of the falacies of the original work is how much Edwards appearance, how "pretty" he is, makes such a huge impact on not only the plot, but his characterization. Your Edward will be more realistic and endearing for his physical faults. Maybe we will get a chance to see Bella's interaction more and less of her gawking at "the pretty".
I hate replayed scenes from diffrent POV but this one I did understand. As a reader, I would prefer cutting a scene in half and switch POV in the middle - or even twice - to repeating the actual dialogue of a scene. Looking past this, however, because this is a diffrent project with two authors so I grasp the reasoning.
Great job, brave new idea, original and compelling so far.

This Bella is so different and so much the same. She still has pain and insecurities, but she deals with them far better.
We are so glad you see in Edward what we found. To us, it wasn't about his looks, it was about that 'je ne sais quois'. And for that, we think he's even more beautiful.
There will be a couple of replayed scenes, but only when we think it makes a difference in a story. Pivotal points to both of them that they see in vastly different ways. We hope, very much, that you'll understand and forgive us for these few repeats.

This is absolutely delightful! Truly a fun read. I what you two are doing with the characters thus far and can't wait to see where you're taking it. Pudgy-Pimpleward is utterly adorkable. The unveiling of Bella's dynamic with Renee is phenominal. Yet another thing to look forward to. There's so much to love about this story. I'm definitely going to have to check out your other work as well as the forum thread.

Awhhhh!!!! As I read... all I could think about was....Awhhh, how sweet! They already seem to have forged a bond.. Edward is already in tune with Bella, as she is with him.
Definitely wondering what happened to Bella at Renee's. It so sad that she made such a scandal with the school... how utterly embarasing knowing how the school staff gossips.
More please!

awwww, a friendship is born. Why is Mike ALWAYS a wanker?? I was hoping Emmett would throttle him, but this set the stage nicely for the Bella and Eddie show.

I hope that in the intervening 8 years, his testicles have taken on a bcerulean hue, for while busy, their lack of emotional involvement gave him emotional blue balls. :)

Again, wonderful! I love this Bella, she's so strong! Can't wait to see what happens. It's Edward's turn next, right? Are you going to replay their history together first and then show us about the present or mix it a little?
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes EPOV is next, and you will see their history chapter by chapter until the famous blow out that fractures their friendship. We won't be writing each chapter in separate POV's though, but instead each character will recount a pivotal moment in their friendship until we get to their senior year.

Poor Bella!! I like the whole concept of a falty Edward and normalish Bella. I think it's so sweet that she sees more than an overweight kid who doesn't have the healthiest skin. Now let's see.... Emmett training Edward?? Hahaha. I like giving my ideas. It makes me feel muy importante. Lol :) But I would seriously like some developement in the looks department in highschool for Edward if that's possible. Not like to total hottie but maybe lose the weight and not have healthier skin. Just kind of normal looking. Then he gets all shmexy later!!! HEHEHE.
