Edward the jerkward. You would think after everything they had been through, he might just listen for 2 minutes. Especially with Angela a witness that Bella was forced by Jake. She told Emmett who came and saved her. He told Alice and Jasper the truth. Edward wouldn't listen to any of them. He had all the answers. Granted he was humiliated with the song playing and being tormented by the "Evil Trio." But still to believe them over Bella, impossible. She had never lied to him before why would she start to lie to him now. Now he has frightened her off, she has Forks and Washington to stay with her mom in Florida. Wonder what all those text messages and voice mails said. Were any of them from Edward? Had he calmed down enough for his cousins and friends to get through to him. Or does he still consider his best friend a whore? The last two chapters were very hard to read. One incident can cause so much pain on both sides. I'm still thinking Bella was treated horribly by Edward. Did Edward go to the hotel room and see the note and the roof. That was her errand before the dance. Didn't Alice tell him this? What is Edward (jerkward) gonna do now? Looking forward to what happens then and what leads to the future.
Author's Response: Edward knew he was wrong the minute Rose slapped his ass back into reality. All the text and vm's were from him trying to apologize to her. The next chapter shows the lengths he goes to gain her forgiveness.

I totally missed this update... I updated my email and it deactivated me for a while. Anyway... definitely needed the tissues for this one. The way you expressed their grief was very palpable. Too said to say anything else.

Author's Response: Yes, the calls were from Edward. Poor Bella all heartbroken and humiliated and poor Edward all sorry and self castigating.

Aww...see, Poor Bella! Yep, Chubward's an ass! I know his heart's broken, but he couldn't even take pause & find out what happened. Or, even listen to her for 30 seconds! Even if he didn't believe her, he didn't even attempt to! Again, know his heart is broken, but how can he say he loves her and then not even let her explain herself!
What Bella did must have been the hardest thing for her! Just leaving like that without a goodbye. I understand, and what she did actually makes me kinda proud of her. She has her whole life smashed in a few minutes, and instead of just laying down, she picks herself off & decides to give herself a completely brand new start. Sucks for the others in her life that aren't Edward, but they probably understand, well...maybe!
Went back and re-read the Preface! Can't wait to see what Bella and Edward have been through in the last 8 years! Also hope Bella throws what Edward said back in his face, damn man whore! He's gonna have a lot to make up for and I hope he enjoys begging like hell! If I were Bella, I wouldn't be letting him off easy at all!
Loved it & can't wait for the next one!

Okay, now that I've seen both sides, I'm still siding with Bella because I knew she didn't do anything wrong all along. Edward, on the other hand--even though I feel bad about his insecurities--wouldn't even listen to her or all of their friends. He instead chooses to believe Mike and Jacob.
I'm wondering if he regretted it immediately...and if so why he didn't go find her....plus from the prologue it sounds like he's slept with all of Forks...I'm not sure how he's going to dig himself out of this one once the meet again!

Author's Response: Thank you! Edward was sorry immediately after the words left his mouth....Bella just didn't give him a chance to say he was sorry. Now they have to work through eight years of pain when they finally meet again. UGH!

I know this is fan fiction and all and it's supposed to be drama-filled...but maybe this is a bit much? Edward's outburst seemed really unreasonable and Bella's running away is just ridiculous. But I guess Edward and Bella have always been a bit melodramatic...

Wow, another update already! I usually hate when authors do the same chapter with a different POV, but this one didn't feel like a repeat. Bella side of things was just as heartbreaking, if not more, than Edward's, and it really makes her decision to leave understandable. I can't wait to read your next chapter!!!

Oh my goodness! This was horribly sad but so beautifully written! I can only imagine the pain Edward is (will be?) going through once he comes to his senses and realizes he was wrong - and Bella is gone.

That asshole! I've been in a similar situation, not nearly as public though. When you're trying to push him off, but he's just too strong. And then your best friend walks in. At least my friend was a girl, and she did say that she believed me. I don't think she really did, at least from what she told other people. At least Bella had someone to pull him off, and wasn't stuck with a drunk asshole in her house. I would have left town too.

Oh, I hurt for Bella! And Edward. Sometimes it's hard to recognize the truth when you're really hurt or angry seeing red.
I had a guy force some 2nd bas action on me. I tried to fight him off. The one friend who did notice didn't do anything. She was too angry and jealous to see that I wasn't enjoying it. She's had a crush on him for a long time. I felt betrayed, like I couldn't depend on anyone other than myself.
