Oh so sad...that's actually what I pictured must have happened to Bella. Could his words have been more cruel? I could see why she wouldn't respond to his letters etc, but I wonder that she didn't think that they could contain an apology? Or maybe apologies just don't matter anymore? I could also see that because Edward was her whole world, the words coming from him would really haunt her--because he knew her best and he was calling her that. But, I also want her to be more pissed because she knows (or she should) that she isn't a whore and that she didn't deserve that! (as no one does!)
Okay, Edward REALLY has a lot of making up to do!
God I love this story!

Author's Response: Sweet, you are the first person in a review (not that all the rest didn't rock out, because they did) that got it right. Apologies didn't matter anymore. She's not angry. She's not upset with Edward. She had a lot of other traumas in her life and Edward was the One.True.Thing. The one thing that made them bearable. But when he said that, it sort of shattered that Edward-shell she'd protected herself with. And then all the trauma came rushing back.

I hate him for what he did to her. He broke her beyond repair. He destroyed this beautiful, self confidence, amazing girl. The years that are suppose to be your best years in life, she spent in shame, self-hatred, and utter loneeliness.

Can't wait to see you make her change her life around. That was to sad to see you write her as taking such a downward spiral and the same for Edward. I like to see characters made of stronger stuff. Their friendship should not have been made to seem so shallow when you had protrayed it as being so strong. It was a disservice to them.
Author's Response: It truly was that strong. This wasn't about them being pigheaded about their separation. There are deeper things going on here.
