Deep Breath. How does one lose a parent, or in this case two, at such a young age? So much to ponder, so much to bear. How fortunate Edward has Bella as their bond solidifies even more.
Despite the horrorific circumstances of the chapter it has quite beautiful to actually watch the experiences that contribute to the growth of their love. It is rather interesting that they hide behind the best friend facade. But I suppose that is natural for two that are so very young.

“I’ll try my best to be gentle, Mon Coeur.”
As soon as the words were out of my mouth I realized my mistake. She gasped and paled, squeezing her eyes shut and turning her face away from me".......My heart just broke and the tears started falling (and never stopped) when I read this.
I guess Edward is starting to realize how messed up Bella really is....
That old aunt should be shot, but, you know, every family has someone nasty and cruel like that...

Awwww! I hope Edward gives that old cow what for, and I hope they can move on together.

Well, at least I waited to read until this much of it was written. Of course I'm now dying for more, but from what I've seen on Twitter, you update often, so...*fingers crossed* This is truly a wonderful story, and so different from anything else I've read. Yes it follows the tried and true romance formula, but the little changes you have made to that formula make this a truly unique fic.

Crossed the line indeed. As if our sweet boy wasn't in love before. And didn't we just know he would be a great kisser?
I love how you are taking these two through all the awkward phases of adolescence.

I'm so nervous! I want them together and I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and I may just have a stroke before I run out of chapters to read.

Oh thank God! I thought she was just going to hide from him and push him away from the get-go. I'm sure there's major dramz around the corner, but this was such a relief.

I love your Alice. Bella's stubborn as all hell, but Alice is a force to be reckoned with.

I am back ladies. So much to catch up on. Reviews will be short and sweet for a while.
I was so certain he would attend the dance with Kate but a part of me was very happy he didn't. So does she learn to dance this night?

Oh Bella... My heart hurts for her. Edward has a lot to figure out and his work cut out for him but his heart is in the right place. It's gonna take a lot for Bella to see it...

Again, wow. That was so well-played. I love that Bella didn't just take it lying down, that Charlie stepped in and talked to Billy, etc. Normally I hate it when Bella runs, but this was so well-executed, like she was standing up and doing things her way that I couldn't help but like it.

Oh, now I want to hold poor Bella. God, won't people ever learn that simple words have more destructive power than atom bombs? *sigh*

Wow. That was brutal. And poor Edward just standing there while their song played.

Ahhh, now we're getting somewhere. And I'm having terrible flashbacks of truth or dare when I was a teenager ;)

Guh, I love Dr. Edward!! And him speaking French... dreamy. He really did a number on Bella though if she spiraled into depression. Poor Bella. =0(

I just want to hold Edward and tell him it'll all be okay. That, and smack both of em upside the head for being idiots.

I love this. The genuine friendship, the slow build...wonderful.
Reviewer: Ysar (Signed) · Date: October 29, 2009 11:24 AM · On: 1998 - The Rescue
That was frighteningly realistic without going overboard. Kids stuck in situations with irresponsible and unthinking parents have so much to fear, and yet I'm so glad you didn't take this down a darker path. Just the threat of something terrible happening was enough.

Well, I've obviously read ahead, so I'm not so nervous about this anymore, but the whole mystery about what was so awful about Renee's place? Totally freaked me out. Maybe I've just read too many trauma fics.

Aw, this made me sad. Kids are just so damned mean, and being gthe new kid when you don't look like a supermodel must suck royally. Enter Bella, though, being all sweet and accepting. Great chapter.
