Poor Bella. She obviously had not only craptastic time with her mother, it sounds as if it was traumatic in some way. Usually, you don't develop panic attacks and anxiety from boredom. Sounds like Mom has a drinking problem as well. These two are going to be good for each other. They've already got each other's backs and they've only known each other like 5 mins.

Adolescents can be such rat bastards. I worked as a probation officer in a high school for 8 years and I'm telling you any kid that looked a little different was like blood in the water, drawing a feeding frenzy of nasty. It used to drive me crazy. I like that B is one of those kids who can think for herself and who don't feel the need to follow the masses. She would be a good friend to have.

Je parle le francais, et tableau is the French word for board. I was just a tad bit confused why Bella was describing them as a board, but hey, I bet you have your reasons. Just curious!

my computer crashed so i only was able to read now the past 2 chapters. that aunt betsy is a hideous woman!! bella's self-esteem is super low as it is, i had this idea... i dunno what kind of timeline you plan for this and everything.. but i had this idea that edward should make a grand gesture 9and not fail this time) to make bella believe that he really loves her. the idea i had in mind is during the wedding reception... during the toasts. or not even during the toasts... just for edward to get the mic at some point and confess his undying love for bella right there and then so that it would be in front of all the people especially that aunt betsy, so that bella would know just how much edward loves her and it would i hope give some boost to bella's self-esteem. =)
