What's this talk of the rest of the story not actually getting written? You have to write it! A Twilight/Firefly crossover that starts like this? It's like waiting for Christmas!

Let me explain . . . I go through phases of obsessions with books, tv shows, movies, etc. I started with Roswell, moved on to Firefly, and am currently on Twilight. So crossovers between any combination are really after my heart.

That being said, this fic is everything a prologue should be. Great writing, set up for something to come, and an excellent ability to get the readers to want to continue! Really, really, really want to continue.

Thanks for this prologue. I truly hope "By the Rivers of Babylon" gets written. i'll be looking out for it!

Oooh!  I'm in!  This story has a great premise, and you've captured this version of Jake and Leah very well.  I'm always wary of future stories because people keep wanting to set them in , well, the present, but you've done a good job of convincing me that time has gone by and the world is changing.  Can't wait for Mal and Simon and Wash and River to pop in!
