I really loved your story. I almost didn't read it as it strikes a chord with medical issues I'm facing now but I'm glad I did. I rarely have time now to read for fun, being a mother of 2 young children, but my husband was off this whole week so I've taken advantage. And I'm glad I did. Nice work.

Twilighted is my escape too. I have been able to work through so much of my very complicated life by reading stories here. I have two special needs children and have battled cancer (and lost a parent to cancer) My husband and I are also among the fortunate ones who have worked through the hard times and come out stronger. When We were told that our youngest was going to have downes and advised to abort at every appointment I don't know how I would have made it if it weren't for his love and support. She is a happy healthy 11 yearold now and the doctors were WRONG! (I had poly-hydramidose aka enough aminiotic fluid for 3 babies and THAT was what they were basing their diagnosis of downes on NOT anything else!) I grieve with you for the loss of your daughter and rejoyce with you for the health of the latest knowing she will never replace her sister but how happy you must be to welcome her into your family.

I forgot to write in my last response that I'm sorry to hear that you have had to battle cancer as well, but I'm glad to hear that you've made it through. I'm also happy to hear that you and your husband have made it through together. Believe me when I say I know how lucky we are (and how rare).
I do feel that a lot of my FF reading (and also writing) has been cathartic and also an escape. It's been a blessing really, (even with all the fandom drama, lol).

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. my daughter donated her hair last year right before she started her freshman year of highschool (she had hair down to her thighs) a month later her school had a hair drive she couldn't donate her's anymore of corse but she held the hands of the girls who did as they got their hair cut and told them how much it means to people like her mom when they give. Locks of love actually only gives wigs to kids the wigs to kids who have lost their hair for one reason or another and is one of many such organizations who does.
Author's Response: I love that your daughter donated her hair and that her school had a hair drive. I've heard of so many inspirational stories like that.
I actually learned about some of the other hair donation organizations after I wrote this chapter, some from other readers as well. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for reading and reviewing.

You know...it had been a tough few years but I finally feel like I am at a happy place overall, so thank you for that. Fortunately for me, I have a wonderful family who has been SO supportive. (And honestly, though one child definitely does not replace another, the birth of my third daughter has brought such joy back into our lives and has been so healing.)

I loved the surprise appearance by Emmett... and I'm so glad Bella got to go to Prom at the hospital even if she couldn't go at her school. It was clear that as far as she and Edward were concerned, there was no one in the room but them, and I think it was just beautiful :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked Emmett's appearance...it's not what I planned at first but then it sort of wrote itself into the story. =) BTW, they really hold a hospital Prom around here which is where I got the idea.

I hate to disagree, but I love Epilogues They add to the fantasy, afterall we all yearn for the happily ever after, even after the 1st happily ever after! Thanks for sharing and great story-hard at times, but very thoughful and inventive!
