coming home from a long day at work to see this update made me so happy. i love their awkwardness, and your thoroughness with all these details and edward's thoughts is really lovely and fascinating to read.

Awww, so fucking cute... Keep it up, I nearly died for the wait with this chapter! Lol.

Absolutely love this story. I love how disjointed, but funny and sweet Bella and Edward's conversations are. Patiently waiting for the next chapter.

I LOVED this chapter!! It was filled with one of my favorite things you do so damn well - AWKWARD CONVERSATION!!! It's so well written that I feel like I'm witnessing it in my mind's eye and I feel what Edward's feeling. Several time during their conversation at the dinner, I found myself getting second hand embrassment from their awkward silences, found myself squealing at certain points, feeling relieved when the conversation was flowing. I think everyone has been in Edward's position - unable to stop themselves from saying things they don't exactly want to say. But it's one of those things that you only think about subtley or in passing as you do it - I loved how you made it part of their conversation. You're like Jerry Seinfield or some shit, pointing out the little nuances and idiocynrasies that everyone does but no one really stops to think about. I think that's why I love your writing so much - nothing about it is fairytale-like. It's real and thoughtful and just honest (like another commenter said awhile ago).
My favorite thing about this chapter (besides the awkward comversation) was the part where Bella got pissed at Edward for littering. I LOVED that she got pissed and that she called Edward on it.
Also, I would just like to point out that during the whole time I was reading, my eyes kept glancing at the side bar to see how much I had left. I got sad when I was reaching the end.
As always, thank you for updating! I'm really looking forward to their quasi movie date.
~Jen
Author's Response: "...nothing about it is fairytale-like." Thank you. There's nothing wrong with fairytales (I read Twilight, obviously), but that's not what I'm working for here. Glad to know it reads realistic (at least for you).
Writing that dialogue was a bitch and a half, so getting a positive response from people helps. =)
Thank you for your response, as always...

Gosh, that was so awkward and cute. If Edward was able to control his involuntary spewing of personal information, he might not have said a word! As it is, it's almost like watching a couple who have gone from having sex back to working towards first base. He is truly trying relearn social interaction all over again in a pg setting! Can't wait for more!

The Edward in this chapter is adorable (I know it's pretty weird to call an ex-drug addict that but that's how I feel, can't help it). I wish though there was some Bella competition between the guys...
Please keep writing - I'm really fascinated by the story, and I want your Edward to find his life back

This story has been on my favorites ever since I first encountered it. But now the site needs to make a new category: “Favorite Favorites.” I’m as addicted to this story as Edward is to smoking.

I absolutely adored this chapter! I love how nervous and sweet Bella and Edward are in this chapter-skittering around questions and answers, awkward glances and uncomfortable anxious glances. Give me angst anyday! Their relationship is so sweet at this point, but I know it will get a little complex at some point, seeing as Jasper has practically laid down the law on Edward seeing Bella as more than a friend, for his own good. I look forward to more of this story. Great job!

Edward's confession in the meeting was very touching. He's seeing now what he's done to people and it bothers him, as it should. It shows how much he wants to changes despite how difficult it is, and we know he has some ambition as well since he doesn't want to stay in his job forever.
I liked how Jasper nudged him towards Bella, she's a good friend. Friends are good during recovery, but starting new relationships can be difficult (so I am told).
Again, a great chapter.

Another great chapter. I like that Bella's initial reaction to Edward working on his sobriety wasn't 'He's got issues let me stay away from him.' She seems so calm about it, and so sure things will be revealed in time.
Loved it! Edward and Bella's banter was amusing to read. He is already showing changes from the beginning of the story, when all the women in his life were nameless, faceless objects. He is actually trying to know Bella, which says a lot.

Edward is really in a daze. I loved how you portrayed the monotony of his life in this first few chapters (Note: He really needs to smoke less).
I loved Bella's reaction, the absolute disbelief that he could think it was her first day when she has his schedule memorised. I thought it was funny. The last part was very interesting, poor boy's sexualising a stranger because she has soft lips, dark hair and nice eyes. If he doesn't watch out, she'll become his new addiction.

I loved how awkward their questioning was. And Edward wanting her to ask them but not wanting to answer. They just went to a diner and had some food, but so much happened in this chapter. Thanks for the wonderful update.

Loved this chapter, especially the end. Bella's inexplicable attraction to Edward-the ways she watches and sniffs him covertly-is just so sweet? I guess. It's amusing to read and I think most people, if not all, can identifiy with her in that moment.
I am intrigued by the tidbit about Jasper, and I am guessing (I might be wrong) that it might have something to do with why they haven't left Port Angeles.
Great stuff. Keep up the great work.

I really like this chapter. You were able to show the different facets to Bella in this one chapter. I love the use of Seth Clearwarter here, it isn't often I see him written in fiction (at least the ones I've come across) and I have never even imagined pairing him with Bella-it's a very pleasant surprise I have to admit.
As usual, I love Alice and Jasper (I tend to love them in whatever story I read) and the banter between Charlie and Bella was sweet. It showed caring without being mushy about it, much like imagine Charlie to be. Love the chapter.

I really enjoyed this last chapter. The much anticipated meet up! The awkwardness was totally endearing and relatable. I can't wait to see where this goes! Post faster.

This is a very different Edward to what I am used to reading, but you portray him so well. The mindlessness of his actions while he's high, the disjointed moments, all seem so real. You're desciptions are so clear it's like watching on film. Difficult topic, great writing.

ok that was sooooo sweet and akward and just perfect! Amazing chapter!

That was perfect. I love the nervousness/awkwardness. I also like that Bella is so comfortable with his addiction. I have to say that you write everything so authentically, it makes me think you've had experience with addiction--not personally but maybe through work or someone you know? Either that or you've done incredible research. It's really amazing how well you describe sobriety.
Can't wait for your update.
And I liked your playlist too :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! I always wonder if anyone listens to the playlists.... =)
