So I get to the really good bit, you know the er... bedroom stuff and my eldest comes downstairs for a drink, I get him cleared back off to bed.  The literally 2 peggin' minutes later hubs is home and wants to chat.  I patiently place the laptop on the floor, nod, smile, laugh.

After about 20 mins he needs the loo.  Thank goodness!  Oh dear I had to re-read to get back into the moment.

The way you're describing those first new feelings when you attracted to someone and nervous is perfect.  I find myself blushing on their behalf.

The end of this chapter- seeing Edward like that- made me sick. I actually felt horrified and a bit sick, and now I'm just in complete shock. When I first read "Then, just like that, just so easy like it's nothing, he raises a bottle to his lips." I almost wondered if you forgot he was an alcoholic, haha. I was just so shocked.

And I've never reviewed before, but I just wanted to say that your characters seem very realistic. The way they interact, the way Bella thinks, the way they act, etc. Authors of Twilight fanfic can sometimes get carried away with the fantasy of it all in all human fics, and it gets a little ridiculous. You however don't do this. I feel like this could all be happening, and between just normal people.

 

 

That was an awesome chapter. I love a great written conversation...thats part of the reason I loved twilight so much. I HOPE they are on their way to finding the way back to each other. I love that Bella admitted she is still angry and she doen't know how to get over it. I love that he can understand that.  It was so well written... Can't wait for more. THANK YOU for sharing.

Love this! Can't wait for them to get back together. Maybe I should say I hope they do get back together. It's so obvious to me that they aren't over each other. Looking forward to the next chapter!

They've made huge progress towards establishing a good friendship today and clearly they still have strong feelings for one another, even if they aren't quite ready to admit it, either to one another or themselves.  However, Edward is  moving to Seattle and it's inevitable they will see more of each other - but are the feelings of hurt and betrayal so deep-rooted for Bella that there's no way back, or can they overcome the past and find a way to move forward together?  What it essentially boils down to is, can Bella find a way to trust Edward again because, if not, there really can't be any future for them, perhaps even as friends.  I'm not sure if I've told you how very much I love your story and I await each new chapter with eager anticipation.

This is such a great chapter. I really enjoy Edward and Bella's talk...it seems more like a convo between friends as opposed to a confrontation like before.

*SIDENOTE* I like Max and Mac!

"I just didn't understand why anyone would tie themselves to an addict willingly."-*SIGH* I can understand  this I think...esp with her experiences with Jasper...that Bella doesn't know what she's getting into. Rosie may or may not have been right about that, esp given the way EdBel's relationship ends.
3. "You could never be stupid, Bella. Or a doormat."-Oh Edward! He's quite kind and reasonable...reassuring 4.

B:"Edward, come on. I totally let you navigate every part of that relationship."

E:"Because I'm good at manipulating people," he says quickly.

B:"Maybe."  I shake my head.  "Or maybe I was just young and didn't know any better."

E:"Maybe it was both."

5. "I don't have very many anymore. I sold them - I sold or lost most everything - before. Reacquiring things is taking some time."-Poor E! Well, he's in a better place now

6. "She liked screwdrivers, because you couldn't smell the vodka as much, and you could drink them in the morning and no one would know. ...And my dad, he liked White Russians. Only after five, of course."-So his parents set the example for substance abuse

7. "What he's implying is that we're going to be friends, that there will be more opportunities for me to not do that anymore."-YES YES YES

8. "So no more cutting off all ties because you think it's good for me bullshit, all right?"-HEAR HEAR! Go Bella! Edward's right, she is bolder, in a good way
