Edward leaving Bellal changed her totally.  She was into liquor and drugs.  I can understand to ease the pain of her loss of Edward and his family.  She traveled back east to Rhode Island to go to school.  Interesting.  Living originally with an Aunt and Uncle with cousins.  Finished out high school and now close to finishing college.  Has a boyfriend "a stoner" and a very bad temper.  Not a good combination at all for her.  She moved out of her Aunt and Uncle's place to the house that belonged to her grandmother and was passed down to her mother, Renee.  Only to discover it has ghosts.  Not one or two but a whole dining room full.  Bella heard Alice Cullen's name in her night class.  Talk about panicking about it.  Questioning her sanity after everything that happened and what is now happening.  Edward there also tracking Victoria who is still after Bella.  Oh goody another emotional rollercoaster to add to her already overloaded brain.  Edward wants back into her life.  Claiming he has always loved her and will never leave her again.  Alice is stating the same.  Sean showed up with Edward holding Bella in an embrace.  Talk about jealous anger.  Once she went into the house after talking with the Cullens, he grabbed her wrists and was hurting her.  Bella felt something cold removing his hands and then she heard Sean yelling from the basement.  Her house ghost had stopped him and locked him in the basement.  Bella is now interacting with the ghost at least two of them.  It was funny Edward attempting to attack a ghost.  Yes his teeth are sharp and deadly filled with venom, but the ghost is already dead.  Wondering who the ghost are.  Since the house is Bella's grandmother on her mother's side, wonder if some of the ghost are distant relatives of Bella.  Could be the reason they protected her.  Also looking forward to the family dinner and all the fun Bella and the cousins will have playing video and arcade games.

Wishing you a very speedy recovery and return home from the hospital.

Well, I am glad to hear that Bella is not all "Welcome back Edward. I forgive all." I am interested in hearing what exactly is going on.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to more, especially after Alice's cryptic message.

Sounds like Bella is on her last thread of sanity here.

No way, I didn't fall asleep!  I'm really enjoying your story!  I'm looking forward to understanding more about the ghost, how the Cullens handle Miss Victoria and how Bella works it out with Bella!  Thanks for writing it!!!

I hope everything will be ok for you.....Just know that you are in my thoughts!  Stay strong, stay tough!

No sleeping!  Bella is staying strong, not falling apart or giving in-even though she seems to feel like she is!  Dave and Buster's?  Can't see vampires there-such a noise level!!  I hope everything is getting better (once you come home it will be much easier-I never felt I was healing while in the hospital).  Don't get discouraged when you feel as if you go one step forward and then three steps back-it takes a long time.  I had open heart surgery nine years ago  and getting better took all my strength-my poor little guy was three at the time.  BUT it did get better.  Hugs and kisses sent your way.  Jill

No sleeping here! Who the heck is that ghost?? And what did he say in his ghostly head that had Edward upset? I'm glad Bella stood up for herself but also happy to see her melt into Edward's arms. *g* Nice.

Unfortunately, RL sucks too much of the time.  Hopefully yours will get better soon.  I spent most of late summer and fall taking my husband to daily radiation treatments in the ambefore we both went to work.

I wonder whats up with the ghost that has Edward so worried.

Percocets are good.

Author's Response:

your husband is an inspiration to me....i took the surgery route because it seemed the easiest...i hope he is okay now...

as for the ghost, in my world Alice can't see ghosts much like the wolves, beacuse she never was one...

and you know how in the books Vampires' minds retain much more than human , I feel like an intelligent ghost can process more than a vampires, so the ghost's thoughts flip to fast for Edward...but it will be better explained later on...

and btw Vicodins are better ;)

It was a great chapter - I did not fall asleep!

Author's Response:

I'm glad I was really afraid it was dry....necassary but dry...

Poor Bella.  She can't get a break.  Ghosts in the house, a crazed boyfriend in the basement, an all seeing ex/hopefully soon to be again best friend and a over protective ex-boyfriend.  As far as men are concerned, she should try my ex-husband.  He mostly ignored me which would be a refreshing change from Edward and Sean.

“I can handle Sean. He’s sober by now, or close to it"  There is such a thing as carrying independence too far.  Besides, I never knew a ghost you could depend on.

Author's Response:

Lol.....but that's Bella's biggest character flaw, she's too independentstubborn for her own good, and we will start resolving some of this stuff soon....thank you for reading my randomness!

I liked the chapter, but more importantly, I am thinking about you.  I don't know anything about your situation, but you said "cancer" and "hospital".  Those are not two great words in general, so I want you to know that a complete stranger in Wisconsin is thinking of you and praying for your quick recovery.  Stay strong...

Author's Response:

awwww....thank you soo means a lot to have you say that...i only put it out there to explain about the incredibly slow updates...I am home now....the cancerous tumor has been removed and I am back to hopefully I'll get in a few more updates before I get back to work....thank you again fo ryour kind words

Author's Response:

Awwww....thank you! I'm trying to make them longer....but I don't want to put anyone to sleep either...hopefully they get better....

Ok, just found and read this and I'm very curiouse as to what wiill happen next also about the ghosts!!!!

Author's Response:

we have a little while before we get to the ghosts...they'll still be around but I think we may have to deal with Sean first!

Author's Response:

Thank YOU!  I'm trying to update as fast as I can but it's been tough. DOn't give up on me!

Reviewer: PBJilly (Signed) · Date: February 01, 2010 10:28 PM · On: The long road home

Did she go see New Moon?  hahaha!  I don't expect her to welcome Edward back with open arms, but on the other hand, I hope she won't be making excuses for her abusive boyfriend-or for that matter, letting him back into her life.  But at least she is letting him stay and they will talk eventually.  Does Edward even "know" what is going on-as in who put Sean in the basement?  From what he said, it did not appear so to me.  Very mysterious!

Author's Response:

He'll figure it out...eventually....for now we need to dump the boyfriend and get a read on victoria...the ghost is crucial but it'll take us some time to get to him...

You go girl! Give him hell.

Author's Response:

oh, I will.

Hmmm...I wonder who came to her rescue??  What is it with Bella and her poor choices in men?  Hopefully you don't make us wait too long to see what happens next!  Very good chapter-I loved it.

Author's Response:

i think edward got off way to easily too, they have a lot of ground to cover, I assure I will update as soon as I's been a little hard

I am hooked. I am so glad Edward is back. Bella should give him hell and work for her forgiveness. Please update. I hope there is romance along with the angst.

Author's Response:

there will be....we just need to get sean gone first...
