ok just found the story. it's been over a month and no updates. i would love to read a update. i mean you need to because this shit really does happen alot more than we know. but anyhow please please please add another because i love this story.

I'm glad you commented though. I will try to post a new chapter soon but Im pretty busy with finishing up school these days - writing always seems to come second to everything else. I'd love to hear more about what you think about the story and what path you think it will take.

Pain. You wanted to know how peole felt after reading this chapter, and that's what I feel. I had a girlfriend when I was a senior in high school who was raped and then murdered by him choking her. Your chapter was written so realisticly I have to wonder if you have experienced anything like it in your life. Thank God it gets brighter from here on out.

Wow. Really intense. It brought back really bad memories. I don't like the fact you put a rape scene in here but as a fellow author you did a good job. You were able to catch the reader's attention and you were able to bring tears to my eyes. You were also successful in rising my empathy for Bella.

This story began as just the first chapter with the rape scene. Originally it wasn't even fanfiction - just a short but depressing story about an unfortunate girl. I wrote as in-depth as I needed to get the message across. Rape is a horrible crime that isn't justifyable at all.
I decided to continue the story because I felt sorry for the girl - who later became Bella. I chose to brighten her future a little after subjecting her to all that misery.
I'm glad I was able to get to so many people with the story so far. I really appreciate your praise and I will try hard to continue the good writing.

I gather the rapist is James? I'm wondering why Bella didn't go to the police or get herself checked out at all?

Oh, this is very interesting so far. I'm really enjoying how you're writing this. It looks like you haven't updated for a while, so I hope you haven't abandoned it. The only quibble I had was that it seemed awfully fast for Bella to break down to Alice and tell what happened to her. I suppose it kind of makes sense if she just wanted to get away from it, but it seemed a bit far-fetched that she would be so open about it. Other than that, though, I think this is one of the most well-written Twilight fanfics I've come across, and I sincerely hope you continue to write it.

It's not as dark as I expected it to be. It's good so far. I think it would be good if you put in more details- like where does Bella work? and other discriptions... But I'm excited. Also, are Alice and Edward siblings in this story?
Author's Response: Well, first of all, I want to thank you because your pretty much the first reviewer who has some true constructive critism. That's really what I want to hear from you guys. It was my intention, at first, to write this as a short, dark romance. It has really evolved into more than that and I still don't have a clear finish in mind. I am planning on revealing more detail's as the story goes on (as well as some other characters) but I hate it when the author gives me too much too soon. From now on I will be taking the story slowly because I realize now that there is much more I want to add in. As for the rest of the story - it will run hot and cold - like Bella's shifting mood but don't expect it to be too dark from here on out. To answer your last question, Alice and Edward are very good friends. When I read the twilight books I imagined the two of them as really more adopted siblings who just understood each other and had a strong connection. That is the kind of relationship I'm trying to establish in this story. I'm really glad you're excited (could you tell? I practically wrote an essay XP) and I'm looking forward to your reviews on future chapters that should be coming soon. -Peace

I like this story so far. It will be interesting to see how she gets past the psychological aspect of the rape, and also to see how Edward handles it. We don't know much about your Edward yet, but normally he is such a broody character, I am not sure how he would handle such an emotionally charged situation without turning everything onto himself. When something like that happens, it should be about helping the victim. Still very nice writing so far.
