Great chapter, MM, I loved it, particularly the harness/leash thing! I almost wet myself when I read it! Absolutely hysterical along with Leah's condom drawer. I don't know who would be brave enough to breach that! Can't wait to hear what happens with the Cullens. So hurry it up!
Sorry you're feeling grumpy. Now you have a tiny inkling how we felt when you went off on your three month sabbatical and left us high and dry! You should be much happier soon. Author's Response: lol, I briefly considered writing a scene where someone DOES breach Leah's condom drawer, but it didn't end up working out.
In view of my spotty updating in the past, I guess I can forgive you for the hold up. ;P (I don't remember anything abou THREE months though...) Ugh, I feel you on the rewrites. That's sucks. It'll be worth it though when everyone is amazed by the quality of the chapter! You show that SOB who's boss.

Excellent. I hope Edward got a good view of Bella riding a werewolf. I'm sure he would enjoy that. And I really hope that Bella and Leah become friends because that girl needs somebody to be her friend. Poor Leah.

Author's Response: LOL at your pelthora of exclamated questions. Witch-ness will be coming soon. Not next chapter, but everything after that is fair game. I'm gonna have so much fun introducing my concept of witch lore, so once it's out there make sure to tell me if it's crappy or not.
I UNDERSTAND. I AM NOT AN EDWARD HATER. I think Edward is great and there are A LOT of fics where enjoy seeing them together (maybe even this one???). If there are Team Edward people who read this story, most of them don't review, so I'm going to count on you for something: If at any point you think I'm mis-representing Edward as Bella would see him given these circumstances, PLEASE let me know. Now that I've developed a rythm for Jacob and Bella's relationship, it's going to be a challenge for me to re-introduce him.

I wish love WAS about who is most deserving, but human emotions are very rarely that logical. (And Bella is hardly ever reasonable.) We'll have to see where things go from here. In the meantime, more J/B lovin' to come!

I completely love this story. It just gives me a certain feeling that I cannot comprehend lol. That sounds weird. This is a great site to look for Twilight fanfiction because the number of stories isn't as overwhelming as it is on FF.NET, and there's some quality control here, so that you aren't reading anything too painful. :)

I agree with Bella gaining more dignity since she's been with Jake. I'm personally not team Edward or Jacob because I would be happy with her being with either one. But since you wrote this I'm leaning towards Jacob because I think her relationship with him is way more healthy than with Edward. Don't get me wrong I love Edward, but she seems like she was obsessed with being with him. And you're right about Stephanie Meyer making Bella fall into pieces about Edward. It was a little.....pathetic. Anyway, I love the story and I can't wait for more!
Oh, and sorry If my grammar is horrible. I'm not really fluent in English yet.
Author's Response: I love Edward, too. I know it might not seem like it, but I really do. It's just that as the series went on, I felt like Bella was in this continual downward spiral, and that SM was saying that as long as Edward was spiraling with her, everything was just dandy for Bella. In the series Bella talks about how Kathy and Heathcliff's only redeeming quality is their love, but in Twilight Bella and Edward's love is their only CONDEMNING quality. Aside from the destructiveness of their relationship, Bella and Edward are both pretty decent people.
No worries. Your grammar is fine, and you spell better than I do. ;)

Just re read my previous review. I was trying to say that Jacob was NOT all about the sexing!
I also read some of the other reviews, now that I'm caught up. The debate about character development was very fascinating! Just to weigh in, I think you have done an amazing job with both Bella and Jacob. I think I said earlier that I love the way Bella has grown, started to heal, matured. She made a decision to try to be happy and we all know how determined Bella can be so it isn't much of a stretch that she would put her dtermination behind her decision to be with Jacob. And as I said, Jacob's confidend is both refreshing and understandable.
I now that Bella will eventually come to terms with Edward's lie, and I agree that SM allowed that to happen much to easily. She was a zombie, almost instiutionalized and there is little to no reprocussion for Edward? That was unbelievable, or maybe just pathetically sad for Bella. Bella was obsessed with Edward and all obsessions are inherently unhealthy. I am hoping that with Bella's growth and strength her evalutaion of her relationship with Edward will be seen through new, stronger, more realistic eyes.
What did Alice mean when she said that Edward new Bella wouldn't be hurt on the bike? Did Alice look ahead and Edward saw the vision or do they realize something is going on with Bella? Why did Felicity say that Bella was early?
Carlisle was great! I'm glad I haven't had to put up with Rosalie, she gets on my nerves!

Thank you for the comments on characterization. I agree with you (and I think that a lot of other people do as well) that Bella's easy acceptance of Edward in New Moon was complete BS. But, because characterization is so important to me, in this story I will NOT have Bella decide that she loves Edward and less than use to, and I will not have Bella going around spouting that she loves Jacob more than she loves Edward, and I will no have Bella hating the Cullens for leaving her. But what I can do is have Bella grow the way I think she would with Jacob's companionship and the pack's support. She can gain a sense of dignity. In New Moon we really see Bella beginning to bloom as a person up until the point when Alice showed up, and this story it about that 'what if?' In Eclipse we see Bella standing up against Edward on certain things, and we'll see more of that in this story as she tries to regain some sort of relationship with him.
So, the Edward/Alice exchange: Edward is commenting on the fact that Alice can't see Bella's future because of the werewolves, and Alice is commenting on the fact that Edward knows Jacob's mind and knows that he would never her allow her to be hurt like that. (this is the understanding J and E came to in the clearing.) So kudos to Edward for acknowledging this just like Jake has.
Glad that you liked Carlisle; he's one of my favorites. And, for your personal reading pleasure, there will be more Rosalie to come in future chapters. ;)

Something dark and deep that was writhing beneath the pressure of the supernatural complications of my life, and I could feel it growing restless, twisting for space, looking for escape, just waiting for when it became too much and the only way was out… What is it? I can't figure it out!
I see that Bella didn't/doesn't believe Edward loves her. I'm glad she is still with Jacob, but I'm not sure what will happen when she finally figures out that Edward does really love her. I just want her to have the sun, and of course that is Jacob!
One thing I love about your Jacob is that he seems to have more confidence in his and Bella's love than most other fics. He was so sure in the books, but many authors write him as more insecure, almost whiney, I like your confident, loving Jacob. I also like that he is a complete horndog. He respects Bella, not just lusts after her.
I'm finally caught up, and now I'm sad, no more chapters. I'll wait patiently!

Edward seemed...right...still not glad he's back, but he seems like him. I hate it when Jacob gets hurt and now that's all I can see coming. I hope I'm wrong. I'll keep reading, but if it turns bad for Jacob I might have to bolt can't deal with so much sadness, especially this close to the New Moon movie, my heart is already broken for Jacob and I know Eclipse is coming.

OMGoodness, my heart broke ten times more after watching New Moon than it had after I finished the series (and there was some serious heart-smashing going on then). The other day I had to skim through Eclipse to double check a fact, and I got so angry after reading a few pages that I had to put it down. It's like I can't read the books anymore without wanting to throw something. The movie made a bigger case for Team Jacob than any of the books ever did. (Thanks to Taylor Lautner and the pressure to boost ticket sales.)

Author's Response: Okay, so some insight into that exchange between Alice and Edward: Edward is commenting on the fact that Alice can't see Bella's future when she's with Jacob so she doesn't no for certain that Bella will not be hurt, and Alice is commenting on the fact that Edward knows Jacob's mind and knows that he wouldn't ever let Bella get hurt. Edward earns some points in my book for that one.
Yes, there will be a Bella/Edward convo to come in the future, they're just not quite ready for it yet. Only Edward knows what Edward will do, and we just have to wait and see what his priorities end up being.
