Great story.  Excellent details.  Can't wait for more.

Wow, just started your story this morning and am so intrigued.  Love the mysterious quality to it.  Love the imagery of B unconscious--just floating in a blackness, protecting her mind.

I liked this chapter a lot, although Bella was too calm no matter how tough a soldier she is!  I imagine the next chapter's going to hurt real bad, isn't it?

Edward is such an idiot.  He's always playing the martyr and thinking he knows best when in reality he's just a stupid male.

I love this story!

I've really been enjoying this story.  It's such a unique plot, it really stands out.

You did a fantastic job with this chapter and just reading it, you can feel that nervous anxiety along with the characters.

This was a great way for their introduction.  Yes, there are strong, intesnse emotions at work here, but both Bella and Edward are soldiers and are well-trained to keep their emotions in check.  However, is that something that they can continue to do over time?

Please keep up the good work! I really want to see where you are taking this story. I pace is building gradually and i keep wanting more. When i get to the end of each chapter i desperately hope that there is more.

Looks like Edward was being the stubbern one there.  I really enjoyed this chapter.  you get a bit more of a feel for the family dynamic & it was nice to see Bella interacting with some of them, on a true one to one basis instead of what was going on in the hospital.  Hopefully they'll be able to work through a lot of the pain that is affecting them.

I think it was great!  In BPOV you could feel how hard it was for her to just hold back and the image of rubbing his scalp as he fell to sleep in the past was just so dear.  I'm so bummed that Edward has lost his hope.  It was strong at the end of the last chapter.  :-(

Oh well... he can be as standoffish as he wants, she'll break him down without even trying, just like when they first met.

I have loved every second of this fic. Yes, the many mysteries surrounding Bella's past/present circumstances took a while to unfold, but you know what? It was worth the wait. And I honestly think that your pacing has been spot on. Nothing is worse than a mystery that gets solved before it's had a chance to get interesting. Because I wasn't an omniscient reader, privy to details that the main character does not have, I was able to identify more strongly with Bella's own fear and confusion. Able to delve just that more deeply into this world you've created.

A super-secret-spy-and-rescue-team of Cullens. Tell me, is there anything on this planet cooler than that? I think not.

You're characterizations are fantastic, which is really saying something since this is so WILDLY non-canon, AU. Everyone is in such drastically changed circumstances, and yet, they're still somehow in-character. A little deeper, a little darker. But in-character. Brilliant.

And I don't know if anyone has ever told you this but you are fantastic with angst. One of my all-time favorite things to read, which made New Moon my favorite of the series, incidentally. Anything that causes my guts to get all twisted up and my face to get hot is good readin' for me. And trust me, you pulled it off many times with this.

And the plot? Where in the hell do you come up with this stuff? Seriously! I could brainstorm for a decade and not come up with one ounce of a deliciously complicated plot like this one, in spite of the fact that I've watched every episode of Alias several times over. (You'd think that would give me some expertise.) Sheesh!

Okay, enough mindless praise and adoration. I'm sure you hate that anyway, right? ;-) I'm very much excited to see where you take this. I love badass/brilliant/vulnerable Bella. I even love standoff-ish Rose, though she'd better have a damn good reason for treating Bella like crap after seeing first hand what she went through in captivity. I adore, adore, adore Alice, even though they haven't seemed to have their reunion/talk yet. I'm excited for what lies in store for Bella and the team, and I have a feeling that there are a few more mysteries surrounding Bella that have yet to be fully explored. Really, who knows WHAT the hell you have up your sleeve. All I know is, this has been an incredible ride so far and it only looks to get better.

Now, I'll work on a banner while YOU GET YOUR ASS WRITING!!!

I loved it! This was really an emoionally charged chapter, and I loved seeing both Bella and Edward's perspective of the situation and how different each one is going to handle it.  Awesome work :)

I thought I was going to die from anxiety waiting on them to meet...I was deflated after that though. I hope BxE's interactions in the next chapter is a little more in depth. It was still amazing though.

That's exactly how it was supposed be. Great job! Keep it coming. Are you updating every week or every other week?

I am incredibly eager to learn of B&E's past relationship and why it ended. Please elaborate soon. The curiosity is killing me.

Egats! Sense overload....but think it's a brilliant chapter. There is so much going on underneath the surface of everything. I sure hope Bella can break thru those walls Edward has built up. But knowing Bella, she'll have them down in no time flat. I am so anxious for your next chapters...the excitement is addicting.

What, he just never comes back one day back in the day, and she jumps to comfort him next time she sees him?! No anger? No backbone? If she is strong enough to make it as a female in military service, there is no way she's just going to roll over for that shit. She would make him think that she felt he was an asshole and she had moved on...then she'd make him work for it. Just saying.

I loved it. So many emotions, and I felt every single one as if it was my own.
Why were they not allowed to get involved back then?

Reviewer: ddcdragonfly (Signed) · Date: October 01, 2009 08:48 PM · On: A Fleeting Glimpse

*SMACK* ... Edward needs a smack up side the head. Geez!

Great chapter ... love all the descriptions and the emotions that are flowing.
