Great chapter. I'm glad they're moving forward in the case but I feel so bad for Edward. Hope he can help prepare Bella without damaging their relationship and Rose can get him only suspended. Can't wait to read more.

Sign me up for some lasagna; I need some comfort food after Edward fighting with his dad. My mom and I came to a similar final conversation and although ultimately, it was for the best for me, it still sucks not having a mother.
I'm wincing imagining Edward prepping Bella.

Edward Sr. is horrible! He doesn't deserve to have Edward as a son nor Elizabeth as his wife. He's miserable. How dare he call Bella a whore! And telling Edward he was stupid really angered me. I hate when parents call their children stupid.
Carlisle is a god. I have every confidence that he'll figure out a way to help Edward come out of this with minimal damage. I still don't know what his motivation is for going out on a limb this way for Edward. I can't figure out the reason yet. Maybe because Edward is the direct opposite of his father as far as morals and ethics go? Maybe Carlisle is also tired of representing clients who should really be in jail but have the means to get around the law? I just don't know yet.

it's great how all the puzzle pieces are starting to come together but i'll still can't get over edward's father's harsh treatment of him that part had me tearing up

Great chapter. I'm glad Carlisle was supportive of Edward even though he still had to fire him. Edward needed that, especially considering his father's reaction. Can't wait to see how Bella deals with Edward prepping her for trial.
