Very funny - first walk out the door, and... nada.  Brilliant!

The more you explore Rebecca, the more real she becomes.  Her instincts and responses are so normal and natural that it's hard not to root for her, to sympathize with her, even to get testy with Rob when he doesn't seem to understand what she's going through.

I do love, though, how you float that undercurrent of "I'm worth it" throughout for Rob.  As much as ficRobs tend to lack a boatload of self-esteem, I believe that underneath it all, he would have to remind himself constantly that he IS, in point of fact, worth it.  That the everpresent bodyguard, the paps, the endless string of events, the attention is all a minor inconvenience in comparison with what she gets from his love and devotion.

Now does Rebecca see that yet?  I'm still not so sure.  Hmmm...

Ah, the media... nice to see him with a support system that says to go public, though.  How nice it would be for him to live a normal life.  I can't imagine...  But if he is involved with someone and keeping them a secret, I can totally understand why.

Okay... Lizzy is fantastic.  Alll in all, I thought she handled that quite well, don't you?

It was cruel of Nick to tell her to Google him.  Half of that stuff is bogus anyway, but that just plants all kinds of awkwardness that didn't need to be there.  Particularly since he was so helpful to Rob about her.  I wonder if he's not secretly doing it on purpose to see how they overcome what she's going to find out on the internet.

The preparations for the date were done brilliantly.  As a master of the control freaks of fanfic, I can't tell you enough how much a appreciate a good anal-retentive pre-date prep.  Excellent!  The shower curtain and the sheets were funny, but the entire cleaning and dinner preparation thing was just brilliantly written.

I love the way you are introducing us to Rebecca.  I know this is going to sound strange, but I don't like a lot of RPFs because I think the non-RP characters are often poorly fleshed out, two-dimensional placeholders and the plot development isn't realistic.  I find it too hard to suspend my disbelief.

You give us a very real, very three-dimensional character in Rebecca.  She has a life and she wants to keep it.  She has a dear friend Nick who wants to take care of her.  I think it's great how much work you've put into her life and her backstory.

Great job!

I love this story as the main female charracter i not completely obsessed withh rob. it makes the whole story more realistic. cant wait to read on it is really good. :)

ok... first, shed a little tear to see that "complete" YES on the title page. sigh.... another story finished. 

and then i started to read. and laughed, because i KNEW you were going where you were going with her cold. and i love you for that. Poor guy. but at least he got the cold in a good way. 

Aidan. what a little sweetheart! and wily! i loved the interaction with Aidan and Dad.... shows a gentle and loving side of Rob we can only hope for in 10 years. and the chair? such a boy thing to do! and then the awards cabinet! i laughed out loud at the thought of Aidan accidently breaking one of his dads awards! BWHAHA!

the party was spectacular, everyone is grown, families of their own and at peace. even the photographers are friendlier. 

sigh. a beautiful end to a beautiful story. i'm going to miss it my dear friend. the only consolation... a new story! i can't wait!

Well, all good things come to and end I guess, but we are better for them.  You know by now that "The One" has been on my favorites list foreva! :-).. you have talent and I look forward to your future writing.  So a couple of things,  this piece I loved......

The creases around his eyes drew deeper when he smiled.  His hair no longer stood in all directions on its own. The glory of the age-old vampire had long died away.  His work since those early years brought out and tuned his dramatic acting skills.  The phenomenon of his rocket-like shot to stardom has faded.  But, he was still a heart-throb in her eyes.   <---- so beautiful, it warmed my heart.

I also was crazy about the fact that they decided to name "Aiden" after the baby they lost all those years ago... and Aiden wanted to try to keep it from his father that he broke the recliner, "a lot went down on that recliner"  lol, I can certainly why Rob was sentimental about it I'm surprised he didn't have it repaire, lol...... and Ameila..... loved when he was struggling with her to get her dressed, all these little details u write make it so great for the reader....

....so any chance we can get a 25th reunion story, by that time I'd like them to have twins maybe Alice and Alec, and maybe Uncle Nick will be helping Daddy Rob build their own production or music company or something, I can't see those two retiring.... think about it , it's got possibilities....  it'd be fun to hear their talks on the front porch as they prepare for their first grandchild all the while making "senior" lemonade - you just know I love my lemons.

I have really enjoyed this story, even the times when you challenged us because they just made the story even better in the long run. I am glad you were true to your vision. It worked.

I loved the epilogue. Not only did you wrap everything up nicely, you gave us the treasure of a glimple into their future. It was lovely.
