Aw, poor Bella. She's all freaked out. I like the characterization of Elizabeth, though. We hardly ever see her in stories, but I always imagined her pretty much the way you showed her. She's very dignified and proper, but it's clear that she loves her son. Perfect. :o)

I have to say that initally, I was surprised by his mother's response to Bella. I think that fanfiction has warped my brain into thinking that his mother - always - falls immediately in love with Bella. But her response - this response - is more accurate for this story and set at this time. Well done!
I can't wait too see what the rest of the visit is like and how other respond and treat Bella.

Awesome work! And by the way, any chapter would be fabulous in Edward's POV- I honestlly don't have an opinion. Either way, I know I'll enjoy it.

Another wonderful chapter of reading about the perfection of a husband that is Edward. Really, why don't real 'Edward's exist? Why? Okay,to be fair maybe they do, but I sure haven't run across any! *sigh* Lol.
Even though the chapter was meant to be transitional, it was still great and had sooo much going on. Alice and Jasper's wedding, Edward's continued romantic gestures and speech, traveling to England, and getting to meet Edward's mother.
I was shocked by them supposed to not share a bedroom, guess I need to brush upon on my own knowledge of historical British history and customs, lol. But I was really happy that Edward put his foot down about it.
I'm still reserving judgment on his mother for the moment, but I am looking forward to meeting Bree and the rest of the family.
And I'm thrilled that Bella has become closer to Jasper! I'm sure his approval will help her in the aristocratic English society.
Another great one here! Can't wait for more!

So now they are finally in England..hum, was it my impression or Edward's mother was a bit cold towards Bella? I hope his father and his sister will be more welcoming..and I definetely hope his family doesn't consider Bella inadecuate for Edward just because she isn't noble or English..
The loving scenes were intense but very sweet..and the gift with all the white lilies was really romantic, well done! ;)

this was lovely, it looks like they had a wonderful time at Alice's wedding.
Ahhh, British socity of that time. It would be difficult for them to be seperated though for a long period of itme. It would have been more difficult to move into the same room after giving in the first night, so Edward did the right thing. Even if it was embarassing.

Loved the chapter. I can't wait to read more about what societal prejudices they will experience in England. Bella certainly didn't receive a warm greeting from the butler or Edward's mother, so I imagine there's quite a line of people who don't approve of Edward's marriage. I wonder if they expect Edward to leave her, probably because they don't think he really loves her and maybe feels obligated because she saved his life? I don't know, but I'm sure they hold the same reservations that Jasper did when he thought he was coming to Edward's rescue. I have faith that Bella won't let British aristocracy walk all over her once she gets over the desire to please them futilely.
