Wow, I hardly ever hate a story character this quickly. Elizabeth is digustingly narrow minded. And Charlotte just sounds like a spoiled brat who didn't get what she wanted. Seriously, it's you think about it, it's like bitch, if this girl hadn't convinced your son that it would be good to go visit, he wouldn't even have come back, or better yet, if she hadn't saved him at the freaking gallows when he was about to be hanged for murder, he wouldn't be here." But Bree is pretty adorable.

I don't know if I had reviewed before since I tend to lurk a lot more than comment, but your story is just amazing. I had read very few period pieces that were able to pull it off as masterfully as you did and still keep true to the characters and make it relatable and heartwarming as you had done.

i love period pieces and yours was quite good but forgive me for saying so in those days an unmarried  woman of her age would be sent to the closest living relative or a known lady of society would be appointed as her chaperone.

Well, Bella has no more family. So that's out. and she is over 18 so no one is going to "send" her anywhere. She wasn't leaving her home and she could really care less about social norms. And they are kind of off the beaten path, They are a ways from Paris and Bella dioesn't exactly have anyone to impress. She is kept in good graces through Alice but, other than that, she's her own person.

Hence why she is so unique.
