Thank you! I really do take that as a compliment that I can make someone feel that kind of emotion towards a character that is usually loved.

“Go Carlisle!” Jasper exclaimed. Alice and Bella glared at him. “You gotta see this from a guy’s perspective,” he told them. “The hot teacher and the willing student.” Jasper wiggled his eyebrows. When neither of them looked amused he nodded. “Okay, guy moment over. That’s horrible.”

Okay. So. It was wrong of Bella to betray a confidence to Edward BUT I am glad she did. I am NOT glad she said anything to Alice and Jasper. It's not their concern, not their parent. 

I was so pleased Carlisle came back and I kept waiting for Bella to bawl and tell him and beg for his forgiveness....

 

And then they're having sex and I'm wincing and hoping she'll STOP and ....

 

She doesn't....

 

And then she tells him and he does what ANY man with ANY self-respect would do, I think. 

I cannot blame him for that. Not one iota.  I blame him for never telling his son the truth and functioning with a damaging LIE for so long, but not with what he did when Bella told him everything. 

I have to give her MAJOR points for telling him EVERYTHING.  Edward may or may not be in a frame of mind to say something to him. He might not. But it is in Bella's best interest in this case to have come so clean.  Even if it broke his heart.

I kept going back and forth on whether or not they should have sex. I had to really put myself in that position - and it's Carlisle so let's face it it wasn't hard to do ;) -  and think of what I would do. If someone had just declared their love for me I don't think the thing on my mind right then would be "okay, let's tell him about almost screwing his son now". Maybe that's just me.

To me, it had to be Bella that told Edward. It just seemed right that she be the one to spill the beans and hopefully make father and son come together again. She has to have more of a purpose than just screwing Carlisle, after all.

IMO, it wasn't a choice about Carlisle finding out everything. How many times could he break away from her to go back to break away to go back and then find out there's ANOTHER thing that would break them apart. Hopefully a clean slate makes it easier to move on from....eventually.

I'm flirting with an EPOV, but I'm not sure how that would go over since it's been Bella with Carlisle thrown in once. I do have an idea that I think would be great (if I do say so myself lol) for an EPOV, but we'll have to see.

I've just spent the whole day reading this :O I'm loving the B/C pairing, and was highly shocked with the last line this chapter, so wasn't expecting that.  Can't wait to see how it all comes together :)

HOLY SHIT! I just needed to pry my mouth off the floor. Ok so maybe a little exaggerating but really my mouth stayed open for a good five seconds after reading the last line. I wonder how long Edward has known and if his reason for trying to seduce Bella have been for that reason.

It makes sense for them to have not actually had sex. Its way too hard to fix shit after something like that. But I do suggest you do an outtake where they do! :) Maybe one where she's a more willing participant. Just a thought :)

Carlisle's phone call made me want to cry. I knew why he was doing it but Bella is right. She should make that decision for herself. Carlisle tries to make the better decision for someone else's interest and hurts himself and then that person! Maybe this will help open his eyes about Edward.

Carlilse really does have a need to try to protect those he loves. And you're right, it only ends up hurting himself and those he thinks he's protecting. But the reasons why he feels that way run even deeper than just Edward. They haven't been brought to the surface yet, but I think it will all come out.
