so glad you didn't abandon the story! yeah, edward comes off as a prick, but then again carlisle hasn't been big on full disclosure or open communication from the beginning so it's kinda to be expected. can't wait to see where everything ends up!

Oh, that's just awful! I hate that Edward was unloved so early and that Carlisle, instead of being honest (*honesty is best 95% of the time*), he drove a wedge between himself and his son. Terrible!
That said, great chapter. I love the interplay and how well you write the characters. Just fantastic!!

I've really enjoyed this so far. It's well written and I love the way you've established the relationship between Carlisle and Bella. I'm really intrigued to see what happens now Edward is in the picture. I will be looking out for the next installment.
