Holy smokes! My heart was pounding so hard....
Poor Embry, besides Jake, Embry was my second favorite of the wolf pack.
I knew Edward would make an appearance at the end, I just hope he doesn't muck up the great thing that Bella and Jake have going.
Jake is going to need her support more than ever now that Embry has gone......
Esme will be okay, she will heal :)
It is going to harder for the pack and Bella to heal after the hell they have been through.

When I saw this post I turned off Grey's and was on it!!! Poor Esme and Embry but HELLO EDWARD! Edward, who will surely return to the house and smell hot wolfie sex and freesias!!!! Then we can all cry for poor Edward.
Ellen, this chapter was spectacular. I felt like I was there, in the thick of it, and fighting to stay awake and alive! You have outdone yourself!

Embry is my favorite of all the characters. This truly broke my heart. I understand that someone had to go, I just wish it had been someone else. How terrible is that to say? This was a good chapter, the battle scene was very well written. I'm gonna go cry now.
Author's Response: I'm so sorry you're upset. I cried writing the damn thing! It had to be Embry, though. Bella was close to Embry, so it had a definite impact. However, Embry hadn't imprinted with anyone, and unfortunately, that made him the best option for me. I couldn't kill off someone who was happily in love.

Wow, just wow! Poor Embry. That makes me sooooooo sad. But, I get why you did it. Such is life, right? You go into battle, you need to expect some casualties. Apparently that doesn't happen in SM's world. As much as I can't stand Edward sometimes, I'm thrilled that he showed up when he did, and that he protected Jacob. That was beautiful. I can't wait to read the next chapter. Oh, and I think you did a great job with all the action. I know how difficult that can be. So, keep up the good work.

OME!!!! You just had to have the cliffy with Edward lol. Please update soon. I cant wait to see this love triangle played out. Bella truely has equal feelings for both men...but nothing beats a first love. I really hope after some major butt kissing on Edwards part that they work their problems out and get back together. Jake is good for her to but....Edward just proved that he loves her so much that he would protect her lover. Loved this chapter poor Embry and Esme.

I was very sorry to see Embry die. I have written a short series featuring him in an imprinting relationship so he is like MY Embry here when he dies.lol Silly, isn't it?
To die in the protection of another is a good death, though. He is a hero.
Poor Esme! Will her cheek be recovered or is she scarred for li - er, forever?
I was not surprised to see Edward. It was the perfect moment for his return. I am hoping he and Bella will clear the air and be able to talk... And then I'm hoping Jacob gets better and Bella stays with him. :)
One of the most frustrating things about fanfic for me (I'm such a twerp) is that you can't get to the end and see how it ends and then read to a comfy conclusion. I do that with regular books all the time. The not-knowing kills me.
This is a great story! I look forward to seeing where you go during the aftermath of the battle!

Holy Crap!!! I was expecting another awesome chapter but that was the great!!! I dont smoke but I needed a pack of cigarettes after reading this!! Jacob is so hot in this story...I have been reading this on my blackberry just so no one can see what i'm reading.
I read at work, in the car, at meetings!!! I'm hooked!! But in reading what's coming up I see you are going to break my heart...please don't kill Alice or Carlisle. And not Emmett!! As a matter of fact, it doesnt matter who it is, I will be sad if anyone dies. But I BEG you not to hurt Jake!!! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
