That was hard to read for this Jake adict. As an adult with my first love far behind me... I don't see Bella holding on to it that long. But when I remember my first love...after we broke up. I though about him for a long time.... Maybe a year. But I also moved on with others and REALLY fell in love for the first time. It was totally differnt in everyway. I understood the long when we were separated and the pain when we fought. Never had that with the first love but I still consider it my first love. I don't still think about him at all. My real love...married him. Just a thought.
