Ah, this is SOOOOO good.  I love that Edward broke them up.  How could he even stand to hear them kissing like that- it had to be torture fo rhim.  Excellent update!

PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, don't let her be with Jacob. Jacob needs to imprint or whatever. I know Edward needs to suffer, and I am fine with the angst, but please let the Jacob stuff end. AUGHH!!!

Great chapter

I really like this latest chapter.  I would love to see a showdown between Jake and Edward, although a lot of Jake's behavior is being provoked by Bella, however, so he is really a victim as well. 

Darn Edward for leaving Bella so depressed!  Bella is just causing as much trouble as Edward in this story and I like it!  I think her behavior is very believable, as well. 

Edward is going to have to man up in my opinion and force Bella to listen to him... but I am excited to see where you take this story!  It is really, really good and very angsty - which I love!

Oh what a cliffie! Please, Please update soon.   The suspense is killing me!  I am still enjoying this story. It seems to be a very realistic alternative way Edward's return" could have went and I think it's fantastic!

I wish that Jacob hadn't turned into such a jerk in Eclipse, and I wish that he could have imprinted on a girl before the battle with Victoria and the newborns. I hate the fact that Jacob imprinted on Nessie, I find it distrubing and I wish that it had never happened in BD. I think that Jake would have been great with Leah or that girl he met in the city, Lizzie; I always would have liked her character to be broadened. I wish that Bree had remained alive, and caused some drama in the Cullen family, like falling for Edward or Carlisle, lol. I also wish that Bella had some backbone and that her life was not so revolved around a man.

I'm really enjoying reading your take on how the plot could have been different. I'm looking forward to reading more and I hope that you update soon!

Please, make Edward fight for her, no more wallowing in self pity!   I don’t see the Edward of the first book stand by in Ice man mode while the wolf is snatching the girl out of remorse and duty.

I know you are all about the angst right now but my heart is breaking!  :(  I want them happy, and soon!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite stories.  I too think Bella took Edward back too fast and I like that you're exploring this dynamic wherein Bella doesn't have to save Edward and Bella and Jacob have at least made a connection.  I like the internal question Bella asked of herself: Can she hurt Jacob the way Edward hurt her and I hope you explore that more. While I am definitely team Edward and do very much hope they end up together, I think it would be an interesting ride if it's a bumpy ride and Edward has to really work for it!!!

I am so excited that Edward got to talk to her.  I do hope there will be more moments of him begging and showering her with love!!!!  I was upset by how Jacob kept after Bella for so long after she obviously chose Edward.  I would have been aggrevated by that kind of display from a guy that I told time and again I was not interested in.  I know...she considered him her friend, but I still wanted her and Edward to have sweet and tender moments not fights over Jacob......

I do love this story and am excited about the next chapter and what Alice's vision holds.

Well, I have to say I'm liking the direction of the story for the most part.  Like most readers who happen to have a backbone, I hated the way Bella took Edward back the way she did.  I hate to say that I think Bella tends to go the martyr route too far.  I don't think it's fair to anyone to be with someone when you simply cannot love them the way they should.  If you love someone else so thoroughly, it ends up revealing itself in the relationship and it hurts the other person.  Little things add up and love can turn to resentment and hate.  It can poison a relationship slowly but thoroughly.  Yes, stepping back from Jacob now would hurt but is it really better to him to try to fake things?  To have him love her so much, and only be able to return a fraction of it?  Which is worse in the long run? Maybe it would have worked out if Edward had not come back, but with him there and in her face, I don't think it would.

Edward is such an idiot.  He had her alone and practically hostage with nowhere to run, and that's what he says to her?  Seriously?  That was the best he could come up with?  How about explaining WHY he lied and did what he did?  How about vowing to never leave her again?  How about actually telling her how utterly miserable and alone he was while gone?  Instead he has to make her feel vulnerable by making her reveal her feelings for him, and getting all arrogant and cocky and IDIOTIC with her father.  Yes, let's taunt the man who hates his guts with a fiery passion.  Who is the sole authority figure who has the ability to put a serious dent in keeping Bella away from Edward?  First, as CHIEF OF POLICE, and second as her parental unit.  All he has to do is file a temporary restraining order, which as chief of police he'd get without a problem, then start sticking Edward in jail every time he catches him breaking it.  Unfortunately the penalties for breaking a restraining order are pretty pitiful, it's considered a misdemeanor and I think they tend to slap fines more than jail sentences.  But, it would be annoying enough for Edward to be stuck in jail for a night each time it happens, and put a dent in his operation to get Bella back.

I absolutely agree about the love. I don't understand the way SM wrote Bella. I hope to gradually develop the character into a different direction as she heals. Most of all, her happiness should come from within. Not from Edward or Jacob.

Restraining orders must be different across the states. In my state, the police can't issue a restraining order themselves. There has to be a complaint filed by the victim. I didn't think to check WA laws.

Edward was trying to explain where he was/wanting to protect her, but Bella was just to insecure to hear it. He will have to work up to that conversation.
