Huh. Leave it to Jake. When he finally does the right thing, he does it the wrong way.
I'm glad Sam pointed out the reality of imprinting to Jake.

I cannot Jake would do that to her considering what a fragile state she is in. I also think that she should just forgive Edward as easily as she did in New Moon. Although I think she shouldn't be mad at the rest of The Cullens.
Looking forward to the next chapter :)

Oh no...... I am sooo glad that jacob and sam had their chat and he realized that Bella was not where he needed to be. The timing of telling her was not so good though....I am on edge waiting to see if he can save her this time or if she is going to become the vamp!!!

Interesting way to hit the bottom of a gorge that you, yourself, put yourself, you, in. But, hell, don't kill the crazy depressed Juliet, Romeo is there for her now, then she chooses now to kill herself, damn damsel in destress!!!! LOL

The hurt! This was a difficult chapter to read- Bella's emotional turmoil. I can see where she's coming from- feeling abandoned first by Edward and then Jacob. Please update soon!

oh please let bella be okay - and give her and edward a happy ending

Oh. Ouch.
Edward was being such a jerk up there at first, but he did a good job at groveling, IMO. He should maybe keep it up for a while.
I hope Bella continues to be honest, at least with herself. Strength is generally found in honesty.
And my heart hurts for poor Jacob. I think Edward and Bella's love story is beautiful, but I have soft spot for Jacob Black and always have. *sigh*
I can completely understand about the dire self-injury. I hope she gets effective help soon!
GREAT chapter, of course! You're a terrific craftsman.

I just moved this into my favorites. Your portrayal of Bella is how I would have expected her to act-to a degree-not so forgiving. I like the twist of also "breaking up" with Jacob-who you have made a sympathetic character (not that he isn't in the original but many of these fics make him dumb, nasty, horny). I just never understand the cutting-it won't make me stop reading but I have a hard time rapping my mind around it. Now I am anxious for the next chapter.

God she's fucked up and need to get angry at him! he destroyed her self esteem! He didn't have to be so cruel! Update asap!

I use to cut...for the same reasons as Bella. It helps at the moment...but in the long run you just get screwed with scars and disappointing others. Cutting is an easy thing to do. I love this chapter because Edward and Bella finally understand each other and Jake let's go.
I can't wait for an update(: Have a mentioned this is my fav fanfic ever?

What happened, did Bella cut too deep? I honestly think this is the first fic where Jacob pulls away from Bella that I've read. I'm dead surprised but actually kind of pleased in a way. Of course he did it in a boneheaded way, but I agree with him in that he shouldn't settle. The ramifications were extremely bad for Bella, I am a little surprised he didn't consider the fact that she had just recently jumped off a freakin' cliff into his thoughts.
Thanks for the update!

Thank you for the quick update! I love this story. This chapter is brilliant, my favourite yet. You did a really good job of describing the despair she was feeling. Can't wait for Carlisle in the next chapter (making assumptions and hoping!) Who doesn't love Carlisle though right?!

Fantantistic chapter. Your dialog is always so good, and I really like Jacob's reaction to the whole situation.

Poor Bella. Poor Edward for bearing the guilt of it all!

I am glad Jacob came to his senses - so, so far I don't hate him as much as I usually do -lol
Poor E and B. I hope he changes her.

I'm so glad Jacob let Bella go on his own so she wouldn't have to feel guilty for loving Edward. I know Carlisle will be able to save her!

Oh wow! I am amazed at how believable Bella's pain and suffering is. My heart was racing through the whole chapter. It is really such a complicated situation and everyone is just trying to do the right thing. Beautiful!

Wow - that was an intense chapter! I'm so proud of Jake for trying to do the right thing, but Bella is not in a healthy place to understand this fully. I am hoping that she is able to find the help and strength she needs to once again be happy.

whoa! Awesome! Poor Bella :( Jake was just trying to do the right thing.

GAH! How can you leave me like this????? Oh my, oh my, what an amazing story you have here. I almost cried (I am not the weepy type). I cannot wait for more. This is in no way a canon scenario...and yet it all seems like it could have happened in the book. Very cool. And very sad.

the suspense is painful!
