I loved the interaction between the two.  I decided that Edward is not as much of an ass as I initially thought.

However, now I do think he's an idiot and so is Bella.

Okay...moving onto the next chapter.

All of the above.  I specifically remember Leah being in Vegas.  Did I read that incorrectly?  I will go back and check but I know I'm right.  That's the surprise.

Happy because Jake has his shit together and they are friends again.

Sad because she is still pushing for the annulment.

hi! i just started reading this story this morning and i gotta say i am hooked! the lemons are H.O.T enough to burn sheets! i think that they just have to clear up the alcohol induced fog to see how perfect they are for each other! the story is really nice so far... on with my reading...

Ok I don't want you to take this the wrong way bc you are the author and I'm sure you have a vision for this...but to sit here and wait for this chapter and have Bella act like a 3 year old and not even let him explain is just ridiculous to me. Not even hormones is a good enough excuse for it. They have enough problems with the distance and whole having a baby with someone they barely know without adding in this childish shit. In my mind they should just be old enough to talk about this like rational adults. Like I said...just my opinion...don't want you to think I'm bashing you or anything...still love you and the story...I just thought that they were gonna be stronger and more realistic than this.

Author's Response: No worries, babe. You aren't the only one who's upset over our little bump in the road. I would never consider it bashing. As far as the way that bella is acting, I know it's childish, you know it's childish, edward knows, and bella knows. She's just not equipped to deal with everything that's happened, and I think that's because of all the other issues they are dealing with. I personally HATE "running Bella" and I can assure you, I'm working that out. Unfortunately, right now she is irrational and confused. Again, the baby, the distance, the newness, and the fact that she knows how she fell into herself after she and jake broke up. Just give her a minute to process. Edward is up next chapter. In the beginning Edward wanted the annulment actually both of them wanted it.  Then the news of the baby got both of them thinking especially Edward.  His periodic visits to see Bella and talk about things have brought them closer.  Yes Edward did see the lawyer and he was suspicious, but had no idea why he was there in Forks.  The fact that he tried to hide himself when Edward saw him should prove the attorney was doing something against what he thought Edward would approve.  Jenks is bribing people to state lies to achieve a legal end.  Why?  Originally they both were going to sign the papers without a hitch.  Edward was going to try and make things work between Bella and himself and the baby.  He wanted to be together as a family.  He wanted to take care of her and the child.  He will make sure she's in a more comfortable and safer place especially since he still has his business on the east coast.  They have a lot of bugs to work out in their situation and they will take time.  Bella was being irrational, ridiculous, and childish.  She knew it and he knew it.  Talking was the answer they both knew was the right one.  Yes Bella was overly emotional on the subject, she was tired and exhausted over Rachel and her lies, Edward's attorney bribing people to lie, and Edward not telling her Jenks was his attorney.  But in defense of Edward he didn't know why Jenks was there, whether it involved him or not.  He suspected, but not sure.  The reason they were there was to talk with Rachel and have her explain the outrageous call to Edward (we know how she got his cell number from Jenks)making accusations about his being the father of Bella's baby.  Knowing it wasn't Jake's because they had been broken up way before she became pregnant.  Lying that Bella and Jake were still together.  Money to help with the care of Jake and hers father, Billy.  If she was in court it would be perjury, right?  Would it be a form of falsifying testimony in a legal matter?  Fraudelent information? Who pushed Jenks to this limit to achieve divorce/annulment of Edward and Bella.  Definitely not Edward he was shocked.  Could it be Carlisle?  I thought he mellowed out once he talked with Esme.  Jasper and Emmett wouldn't do it they are crazy about Bella and Edward.  Rose and Emmett both saw the love between Bella and Edward and helped them get married in the beginning.  Mystery.  Has anyone actually told Jenks Edward isn't interested in annulment any more.  Jenks' assistant Angela was all over Edward earlier, could she have been so vile after the rejection to lie to her boss over Edward's stipulation of what he wanted in regards to Bella and his marriage to her?  Bella's concerns are that Edward is more financially able to raise their baby better than she can.  Afraid he will take the baby away from her.  I don't recall any of those ideas crossing his mind.  He is thinking of raising the child together with Bella.  He is willing to give their marriage a try.  He watched the wedding video, he saw his reaction to Bella.  He remembers their honeymoon in the suite and so does she remember.  Bella is just insecure, she doesn't know Edward completely yet.  Edward has a reputation of loving and leaving women.  Not the committing type.  But things have changed in his mind.  He never thought about being a father, now he's looking forward to it.  He never thought about being a husband either, but now he wants to give it a try.  He wants to keep them together. The more he learns about Bella the more he wants to know.  Bella wants him also and deep down she knows she needs to give him a chance to explain. If she didn't want him at the house, she would have slammed the door, locked it, and then walked away to her room.  It would have muffled the sound of his expletives, his angry requests, soft and tender requests, and loud knocking to be let into the house to explain.  She didn't move because she wanted to be close to him.  She doesn't want to believe what her insecurity is telling her.  She wants the dream of Edward in her life with their child as a family.  The longer she leaves the man out in the rain, the more danger of catching cold, lightening hitting him.  Bella may be stubborn, but so is Edward he's not leaving until they talk.  He'll get in there somehow either by Bella unlocking the door or when Alice and Rose come home with Jasper and Emmett.  Bella is going to have to talk to him some time in the near future.  I think they'll work it out.  If I was Edward I would be calling Jenks and asking what in the hell he thought he was doing in Forks and offering bribe money for lies and doubts about Bella.  Who authorized him to do those things?  Why was he trying to hide when he recognized Edward?  A lot of questions Jenks has to acknowledge and answer to Edward.  Who put him up to it?
