Wow... Bella is blowing everything WAY out of proportion here! I mean, I know she has to protect herself and everything, but wasn't it kinda obvious that Edward had no idea what Newton was up to? And he only had a matter of moments to even say anything? And now she's shut him out completely? She needs to climb down of her own high horse and start letting people even try and take resposibility for their actions instead of assuming she knows everything. She's pissing me off right now.
And Newton? What the hell? Of course Edward's gonna kick his ass ten ways to Sunday tomorrow. I bet Carlisle is behind it all. He probably pushed Newton to push the annulment to get his way.
GAH!

I hope Edward gets to the bottom of what Newton was doing. I have a bad feeling that it involves his father...and that isn't good! I have read some of the other reviews and I shouldn't be so shocked that most people are really hating on Bella. I love how most women identify more with Edward...oh my!
First of all, you are dealing with two people who really don't know each other and have had to quickly form a relationship because of a child that they created together. I don't understand why some of these women feel that Bella should just trust Edward 100% when she has no experience with him what so ever! He stood there while they were drilling Jake's sister about her involvement with HIS lawyer. Sure she is insecure and probably for good reason but he said nothing...nothing. He should have asked her to remain in the truck and then he could have told her who Newton was but make it very clear that he was confused about why he was visiting Jake's family. No, he said nothing and now he wonders why she doesn't trust him. I feel that her strong reaction is out of diappointment because she is falling for him and he keeps giving her reasons to second guess herself. Should she have let him explain, sure. I would have let him in and we would have had it out because that stunt he pulled was lower than low.
Please don't leave us hanging long. I hope that Edward fires Newton because calling him 27 times and not getting a call back is certainly grounds for it in my book! Not to mention all of this other crap!
Author's Response: I swear to God, if I had a trophy right now, you'd get it. FINALLY- SOMEBODY GETS IT!
I write this story the way I think I would react in the situation. Too often, I think readers confuse my Edward and Bella with the Edward and Bella from the series. I didn't want my Bella to be that girl who is all forgiving "oh, Edward I'll give up everything and everyone in my life for you." And I don't want my Edward to be "oh Bella I'm perfect and always make the right decisions." That's not realistic to me. If I had been in Bella's shoes, I would've been pissed and hurt and mad and the first instinct would be to shut him out because I've only known him for five minutes. Everyone seems to have forgotten who these characters were before the smooshy huggy chapters. Bella was a workaholic who had one serious relationship under her belt and Edward was a complete womanizing douche with NO serious relationships under his belt. They are young and inexperienced. How are they supposed to know what to do? They're figuring it out. It'll come.
End rant. Haha! Sorry, you had to read all of that. I just appreciate you understanding where they are at.
I'll do my best to get the next chapter out soon.

I really have got into your story - I only read it for the first time relatively recently. Really hope we get some resolution soon so I'm crossing my fingers for an update sooner rather than later.
This chappie was really good, I'm really liking this Edward. Loved the idea of them sitting in their misery back to back on either sides of the door. Poor B/E - get them out of this crap pretty please!
