Wow what a wonderful piece of work this is! Its left me wanting to know more, my heart breaking for the loss of his previous life and anger for the corperation that took everything away from him and so many more. I totally loved it, would love to read more about the adventures of Slade :D

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  This was really an interesting experience, writing for a topic that was assigned for a contest.  It's very new to me.

I'm so glad you found the characters sympathetic.  Makes me feel good!

I may have to explore these characters further.  If I ever do, it'll probably go up on fanfic.net.  We'll see.  I'm currently editing a novel and starting work on two others, a sequal to the one I'm editing and a totally unrelated story, so this story may take a back seat for a while.

Thanks again!!

Great story!  Poor Nan!  My heart ached for her!

Author's Response:

Thanks!  I really wanted to convey his hopeless situation and the pain they both felt.  Hope it worked.  I'd love to play with the characters more.  This was so fun!

I really enjoyed this TwiTina!! Great job. It was very emotional and vivid, and the time element was fantastic. Thanks for sharing with us!

Author's Response:

Thank you!!  That means a lot coming from you!  Your story is fantastic.  I'm glad to be in the same league as any of you!

I really think I took a totally different approach.  It's so interesting to see how others wrote for this topic.
