I love this "missing perspective." You are a very good writer. This could have been in the book! It is so nice to get the other's thoughts through Edward. On to the second chapte!

This is simply hypnotic. I especially adored the scene where Edward told Bella that he could not love what he thought was killing her. It was beautifully epic. I thank you so much for writing this. This was excellent. I was wondering when or if you would bring the part with Jacob and Edward's chat about Jacob providing Bella with an alternative baby in to play. Edward was so desperate to find some way to give Bella what she wanted without having this baby kill her on exit. This is really really great writing. : )

This truly is perfect from EPOV! You have him nailed personality-wise. You don't make him sound obnoxious or whiny like I've read in other stories. He truly is a man worried to death about his pregnant wife. Great job!!

I love how you're fleshing out everything that Edward was thinking during this time. In the book, I found it really frustrating and never understood why Edward couldn't support Bella when she really needed him the most. But your story is so accurate in terms of characterization and style that I really feel like I'm getting a much better insight to Edward's character. So...keep up the good work :) I really liked the Edward and Bella interaction in this chapter, even they were heartbreaking to read. I really hope they get the chance to talk more, especially since the book was from Jacob's perspective and we lost Bella's thoughts and recollections.
Can't wait for more!

I wonder if Esme realizes or will realize that her situation she told him was vastly different than what he and Bella are going through now, especially for the reasons Edward himself stated?

This has got to be one of the best Edward POVs or POVs period that I have read. You really flesh out the characters and tackle certain aspects of the story that other authors don't.
I think it's interesting how Bella has all this faith in Edward yet Edward doesn't believe in Bella at all. Now I understand his fear (I cringe at the thought of Bella and the family's reaction if the child turned out to be a full-fledge monster), but Bella made her choice and he should respect and support her. I don't doubt that Edward would risk his life for Bella, so he should expect her to do the same for their child as well as him.
I can't wait until you get to the birth scene!

I really want to know how the next chapter will turn out. To me, your writing seems extremely accurate of what happened in the book. It is almost as if you stole Stephenie Meyer's secret writing from her desk!

I love hearing this from Edward's point of view however, I hope we don't have too much of Jacob. I really hated that in BD. I know some is necessary but it was over done I think in the book.
