Awww. That's so sweet.

I almost turned a cartwheel this morning when I saw there was a new chapter up. I'm not really an Edward girl but you make him seem a little less heartless than he really is.

I'm kind of sad that this story is going to end soon.

AWWWWWWW!!!!!

I love this so much! So, so much! The way you express Edward's love for Bella and Renesmee is beautiful.

Another great chapter! You covered much of what I wondered about while reading Breaking Dawn: cleaning up Bella and the room, Edward's initial reaction to Jacob imprinting on Renesmee, what happens as soon as Carlisle returns and Edward spending some quality time with his newborn daughter. I especially loved the conversation between Edward and Esme - very nice touch! If anyone could convince him it would be Esme. I love Daddy Edward, so I can't wait to see what future chapters bring!

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!  I can say once again that of all the fanfic I have read this is by far the best!   I do wish Stephenie could find this story amongst all that is out there, it would blow her away I am sure, she would be so proud!

Please keep writing!  Sandy

Absolutely stunning chapter. I especially loved Edward's & Jacob's exchange, as well as Carlisle's guilt and awe at what transpired in his absence.

I was wondering how far you are planning to continue this. Your writing style is truly wonderful and enchanting, and I would love to see your hand at Bella's newborn stage and all that entails (first hunt, Jacob, THE COTTAGE!, etc.).

Godspeed.

I can't wait until my husband meets his daughter, this just makes me want it even more.

I hate when people say Bella had no personality, no gumption, no anything- she gave it all to give lifeless creatures life. She made Esme and Carlisle grandparents, R, Em, A, J uncles and Aunts and Edward a father. Don't you dare tell me that girl was a brainless portrayal of the average lackluster girl.

Such sweet and tender moments between Father and Daughter, really nicely written. It was also nice to see the family's reaction to Bella's survival news and to meeting Renesmee. Loved it!

I loved it.  Renesmee and Edward are adorable.

WOW!  That what an incredible chapter.  Your writing held me captive.  I am so excited you are going to continue on with this story.

What a perfect depiction of Edward as he embraces fatherhood. Heartwarming doesn't begin to describe the emotion your writing calls forth in the reader.

This is absolutely marvelous:

I remembered my fears before she was born, if something like me could actually be a father, a parent.  But having her here, holding her, it felt... amazingly instinctive. I recalled words I had once spoken to Bella.  I have human instincts - they may be buried deep, but they're there. At that time, I had been fighting so hard against my vampiric instincts, it had seemed almost impossible to access the human ones.  But Bella had freed that humanity from within me.  She had shown me the tremendous happiness that could be gained from following my mortal impulses, and had helped me to discover intimacy, tenderness, and romantic love. And now, she had given me the gift of fatherhood, something else I had thought I had left behind with mortality, and I was both shocked and happy to find that being with Renesmee felt natural.  Good.

And I also really appreciated your inclusion of Carlisle's remorse at being absent during the delivery (something the novel didn't even hint at, though it ought to have). I enjoyed Carlisle and Esme's reaction to becoming grandparents--particularly Esme gently reminding Edward that in the area of parenting she was his superior--oh, it was all so very, very good, and it rings so true to character. I applaud you!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  That paragraph was actually the final thing I added to the chapter - I loved Edward realizing he could be instinctive, human, with his daughter, despite his fears.

I'm so glad you liked it!

Charming chapter. I love Edward's wonder at his daughter.  This is so beautifully written.  His wonder with himself and his humanity is to tangible, here.

TERRIFIC touch with the lullaby.  Even before you let us know what it was, I knew you'd found something perfect and appropriate for him to sing.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  I was really hoping to show Edward as any other parent enthralled with their newborn child, so I'm glad you felt the humanity.

I'm glad you liked the lullaby.  I actually found it when I was a little stuck finishing the chapter, and it really inspired me to keep writing.

Great Chapter! But please hurry with the next! I love reading your writing from EPOV. I know what happens in the book but this version just demands my attention. Keep up the great work!

EXCELLENT!   Every bit as good as SM's.

So many awesome things in this chapter!  How Bella wishes for one more time in the meadow with Edward and how heartbroken he is to realize she finally realizes she's close to death...and how much he's heartbroken that he can't wisk her away for these last moments to the meadow.  Sob!

Also loved how Edward realizes his relationship with Jacob is changing but he can't really figure out where it's going...such great foreshadowing there!

"I wished I could grab time with my hands, keep it in a strangle-hold and stop it from moving forward."  I can feel Edward's desperation laid out perfectly in this single sentence.

How awesome is Emmett-you capture him perfectly.  Loved these lines: "So Bella gets to drink human blood, and we don't," Emmett chuckled.  "That's not fair."  and Hell yeah, it counts! --love this "nod" to the bet Emmett and Jasper made about Bella. Too cute!

Love it- can't wait for next chappy and especially when e finds out about the imprint

My favorite line from this chapter: "If I had ever thought that Jacob was capable of such a thing, I would have respected, and feared, him a great deal more as a romantic rival for Bella."  That's pretty awesome how Edward acknowledges Jacob's genuine devotion and love for Bella.  And, it's also heartbreaking that he admits that as well.  Loved that whole paragraph.  Well, I loved the whole chapter..who am I kidding?   I regret that I'm too sleepy tonight to read the next chapter.  If only I was a vampire and didn't require sleep.:-)

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked that line!  It was one that I pondered about - I took it out and put it back in a few times.  I just really thought that Edward's respect for Jacob, and the depth of his feelings towards Bella, would have grown through all this.  And I think Jacob really does mature through the storyline - he definitely acts older than his years.

Thanks for the review!!

Very cool chapter!!  I just absolutely loved Edward's flash backs to his life as he is steadily losing his mind and will to live because he thinks Bella is dead.  It was a perfect way to capture this time...since it really is Edward dying on the table too.  Would have been a perfect addition of BD.  Great job keep the next chapters a comin'..

What an amazing chapter! I love how you incorporated Edward's thoughts and memories while he was waiting for Bella's heart to beat. It made it so much more powerful!

Love this!  Can't wait for the next chapter!  I was so happy when I found this!  I wanted to know Edward's thoughts during Bella's pregnancy and the birth but I have way too many other writing projects (fan fiction and original... darn those muses) to tackle it.  Good job though!  I'm excited for the next chapter.

I especially loved how you wrote Edward after he could hear Nessie's thoughts.  You did a very good job at that.  I don't think I really thought much about what was going through his head then until now.

woo!  that was a long review.  but who doesn't love a long and detailed review?  I hammer my friends for them all the time.  haha

ARGH!  Ok. usually I don't review until I run out of chapters here, but I had to say something now.  Great job on the freakin' suspense.  sheesh!  I mean, we all know she's gonna be ok but you already have me squirming and on the edge of my seat trying to NOT pull my hair out... good job.
