Great chapter. Poor Edward. He is so tortured. He loves her so very much. I do hope you give us a Post Vampire chapter. I would love to read how he feels once he is able to simply love her without the bloodlust and the fear of hurting her.

I'm new to twilight fanfiction, but after reading some really bad stuff, yours is excellent change - realistic, red-hot but not crude (even if the c__t word isn't my favorite, it works here), and still romantic which is what attracted me to SM's story in the first place. Not that I think SM's work is particularly well-written, but the Bella and Edward story hooked me and is why I kept reading feverishly. You've captured the EPOV perfectly. I want MORE! Thanks for filling in the missing bits that SM left out. I always thought it was a bit ridiculous that he was so affected by her and yet they'd attempt every first all in one go. It makes so much more sense to me that they'd practice first. Thanks for writing their practice!
