It's nice to know that Edward can protect someone without overreacting and throwing them into a pile of glass dishes.  I' so glad he realized that Bella is safer with him than without.  Bella's talk with Jasper was so heartfelt.  As far as sex is concerned, he needs to go have a talk with Tanya and her sisters and find out how they do it with humans and leave them alive.  I hope Alice doesn't have a vision of their shopping trip and beat them to it lol.

Yes, my more mature Edward is able to contain himself a little more than the book version. I, personally, did not like what happened in New Moon when he left and so I decided MY Edward would not leave over something so trivial as an almost-attack by his brother, lol. And of course, Bella set him straight on that! And I could totally see her trying to comfort Jasper, even though he was the one who tried to attack her son. And the whole sex talk was actually needed for a future chapter I promise I'm not trying to tease you all!

Oh my god.  How much did I love this chapter?  Words cannot express it!

Favorite Line: "He would do it all.  He was a vampire; he could multitask."

And that his love and devotion instantly extended to Bella's child in a very real and concrete way, and that Ben is obviously in on the 'mom has just become the mate of a vampire' mystical business in that he feels safe even unconsciously... I just ADORE it.

This was something that popped into my head one day and I decided to try it. It's the first thing I've written and I'm overwhelmed and surprised at the awesome response it's gotten. One day, the first chapter and the ending came to me...the rest of it has just came to me as I've gone along. Still not sure what inspired it... But I'm glad you like it!

I am still absolutely rivited by this story.  I think you have masterfully kept the characterization of the Twilight gang while also maturing them a little.  How perfectly in character it would be for Bella to confront and comfort Jasper! I loved that scene (and the "I've just about had enough of this leaving shit. " was perfect).  Thank you for the quick update...but now I'm jonesing for another hit! :-)

Poor Esme and Rose.  LOL at Emmett knowing how to break Ben out of his shell.  Wonder how soon the jerkoff is going to try and come ruin their happiness.  Looking forward to the next chapter.
