Beautiful and haunting at the same time. No one has really explored any of the back story's of the Volturi that I have read and I really enjoyed Demetri's story, shed some tears and then loved his patience with whiny, teenangster Edward who is being kind of a wad right now!! Anyhoo, please update soon so I can see if Bella snuck into a White House party in DC and then was swept off her feet by some slimy politician. If this is the case, I have a list of (quite) a few of the ruling elite in DC that I would like for you to have her kill off, very painfully....

Gotta say, I'm REALLY hoping Bella follows up on her realizations in chapter 9, Leave Me. It is perfectly rational for her to look at this as a cosmic joke on her. The Cullens never truly loved or cared for her, Edward's supposed "love" for her was not anywhere near as strong as hers for him, and saving herself for Edward was a waste of time. Maybe the Volturi were not as bad as the Cullen's said. Maybe drinking human blood wasn't wrong either...should she try it? Oooh, lets see Bella give Edward a taste of that Paradise Lost misery. Bella the Volturi Vixen??? Please, please, please, make Edward feel the agony. They can get together eventually, but in keeping with Bella's reeling from the shocks, I'd love to see Edward suffer the flip side and see everything, since he can read the minds of the other participants. Everything he denied and betrayed being shared and done with others. Paybacks are a bitch. It would be wicked...and lovely!!!

Did I review this already? I can't remember and with all the jumping around between here and FFn now that there is a witch hunt going on I can't remember! I still love this story although it has taken a decidedly different turn than I anticipated! I would assumed that Edward would find Bella in Forks and they would then have it out. Well this whole Voluturi, Demetri thing is cool. I don't know what to make of Demetri and I'm worried about Edward trusting him. I am hoping there is a reason he wants to help Edward. OK, now who the hell has Bella been with for the last week! You are a master of the cliffie!

Poor Edward. This story is so damn sad. Which of course shows how brilliant you are, because you've evoked these emotiones, however, can I beg and plead for some happy soon? I'll be honest and state that if I follow this story through all of it's sad and depressing chapters only to be left with a sad and depressing ending I will not be pleased. Not that my opinon matters.
Anyway, good work, good luck, and keep writing.

Moved on?! What does that mean "moved on"? She may be pretending, probably very convincingly, but her heart hasn't moved on. I agree, it shouldn't be easy for Edward, but I believe in their love and so I'm awaiting the next chapter!

God, this chapter was cathartic. It was heartbreakingly, stunningly, intense. I usually finish every posted chapter before I review, but I was so blown away I had to tell you.
