Reviews For The Monster and I

Wow, what a chapter!

I'm glad Bella told him that at the end.  He deserved it!

I'm anxious to read what happens next!

Author's Response:

Did he?  I don't know, I thought it was a little harsh.  Edward and Bella won't speak in the next chapter, so you'll have to be patient!

Thanks for reviewing.

THAT IS A VERY SAD AND UNSATISFYING(SEX WISE) ENDING TO THE CHAPTER, BUT, DAMN, EDWARD GOT INTO THE BELT A BIT MUCH!!!!

Author's Response:

Yeah, sorry about that.  Sometimes it has to be done.

Remember that this is Bella's point of view.  In my mind, Edward is actually being quite restrained with the belt, but Bella's never felt anything like this before, so it seems extremely intense to her.

Thanks for reviewing!

Oooh, that was a good chapter. Ugh, can't wait for more. Kind of like the dirty talking, forceful Edward... minus the crueler words!

Author's Response:

Yeah, he was awfully talkative this time around.  I don't think he expected, after everything Bella has put up with, that his language would bother her the way it did.

Thanks for reviewing and I'm glad you are enjoying!

Interesting with the healing ... kind of sad that the squirrel had to die, though!

First half was lemon-tastic!! I wonder what Edward is going to do when he finds out what Carlisle did... uh oh...

Just started reading this story and I just wanted to leave a note that I am really enjoying it. This chapter, especially, with the background and character development.

okay your story i find oddly intoxicating!!!! Keep them coming, they are always really interesting!

Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm glad you're intrigued!

I'm all torn about the end of this chapter.  Edward definitely deserved to the set down at the end, calling Bella a slut was out of line and he definitely needs to make up for that.  But now he is all sad :-(  I can't wait to see where you take it in the next chapter

Author's Response:

Yeah, he didn't intend it the way she interpreted it and I'm not even sure if he realizes what exactly he did that set her off.  I'm glad you're enjoying it!  Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Aargh!  Such a duality of emotions/reactions!  I don't even know what to think!  Mass confusion!  Edward, trying so hard to be gentlemanly-gets pushed over the edge-yet still gives her the option of safety.  Bella, wants it gentle one minute, loves it rough the next, and then throws it in his face at the end.  I think Bella needs to come to grips with what she wants and needs to spell it out to Edward.  He's obviously trying to be what she needs, she needs to let him.  And Edward is so friggen hot when he is spouting commands!  I think Bella would be completely bored if she went back to Jacob!

Author's Response:

Oh, she totally would be bored to death.  Even if Bella could figure out what she wanted, there would be no guarantee that Edward could give it to her, but it would certainly be a start.  And yeah, the spouting commands . . . I sure wouldn't mind.  :P

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments!

Great chapter. Wow. I never thought that Edward would talk to or treat Bella that way. Edward may be hurt, but I'm sorry, he deserved it for calling her a slut.

Please update soon?

Author's Response:

Geez, you guys are so hard on Edward!  Probably updating early next week (I'll be away this weekend).

Thanks for reviewing!

S & M, jealousy, this chapter is certainly something!  I am still confused with how he can bite her, not that he did in this chapter, and it doesn't turn her, but you have a very delicious Darkward for us to drool over.

Author's Response:

Edward's psychology affects the compostion of his venom.  That's why he gives Bella orgasmic feeling when he's turned on and bites her, but he didn't give his mother orgasms when he bit her as a child (that would be way too creepy).  It's the same basic principle for making vampires.  So, in order to turn Carlisle, James had to concentrate on his desire to do so when he was biting.

Oh my god. Oh. My. God. This fic is amazing and quite probably the hottest thing I've ever read! Please please update soon

Author's Response:

I am completely jazzed that you like it so much!  I probably won't be able to update until the beginning of next week, but I'll try to make it worth the wait.

Thanks so much for reviewing!

Well, the story is good and I'll like that Edward can't controll the monster. It makes it intresting and I would like you to please write more. Edward needs to learn how to controll the jelousy! Loved it! please write more!

Author's Response:

More is on the way . . . soon . . . ish.  I'm glad you're enjoying it.  And yeah, Edward does need to get a grip.

Thanks for reviewing!

Wow, that was heavy. And emotionally charged. And violent. And I freakin' love it.

Author's Response:

Haha, I'm glad!  Thanks for reviewing.

Reviewer: sareliz (Signed) · Date: June 14, 2009 09:55 AM · On: An Eye for an Eye

Hm.  This is a very interesting story.  The D of the D/S squicks me slightly, but the plot and character development are compelling enough for me to wan to continue reading...

Author's Response:

I'm really glad that you can enjoy it even if the D/s doesn't appeal.  Thanks for reviewing!

Good chapter ^^

Reviewer: Camilla (Signed) · Date: June 14, 2009 09:28 AM · On: An Eye for an Eye

Here I am again to explain myself. What is not completely clear is how vampires are made. What James does to Carlisle seems very traditional. I drain you or I just bite,  drink a little and then you are transformed. It is not clear if there is a venom aspect, though. The fact that if the victim being transformed drinks blood his pain is eased, is something new, but OK.

Edward, however, drinks from Bella, but from the very beginning he  maintains that she will not be transformed. So a different kind of vampire than James? It is also very unclear how Edward himself became a vampire.

Finaly, I don't relish the idea of Carlisle PoV in subsequent chapters because  he comes out  with a very umpleasant personality. But that is up to you

Author's Response:

Ah.  Because the vampire's psychological state controls his venom, he will only make a vampire if he is intending to do so.  So Edward thinks lusty thoughts and gives Bella all-over orgasms, while James thinks "time to make a vampire" and his venom produces the necessary ingredients.  (This happens sort of naturally but the skill can be refined -- Edward is particularly good at projecting his emotions into his venom, while James is particularly good at causing pain and making vampires, because that is what they practice most often.)

I think that Edward must have been made a vampire when he was very, very young.  I don't know if how or why will become important in the story.

I'll only do more Carlisle PoV if I think there's a really good reason or if I think I can make him more sympathetic.

Thanks very much for answering my question!  I'll try to find a way to make this clearer in the story.

Not sure how I feel about the chapter really. I was just happy for the update :D

Author's Response:

Okay, that's fair enough.  I'm not sure how I feel about it either, actually.  Thanks for letting me know :)

Reviewer: tneb2009 (Signed) · Date: June 14, 2009 09:01 AM · On: An Eye for an Eye

Damn, poor jealous Darkward!

Author's Response:

Yes, indeed.  Thanks for reviewing!

Reviewer: justjo (Signed) · Date: June 14, 2009 08:52 AM · On: An Eye for an Eye

Sad! And complex. Good job. More writing! *Cracks whip*!

Author's Response:

Given the content of this story, you should know that cracking a whip is more likely to distract me than to lead to productivity ;)

I mean, thanks for your review.  I will write more asap.

Reviewer: Psykojinx (Signed) · Date: June 14, 2009 08:51 AM · On: An Eye for an Eye

Oh no! You can't leave it like this for too long! /cry

Author's Response:

I'll do my best . . .

I'm glad you like the story, though.  Thanks for reviewing!
