I like the story so far. I have been through a relationship like this and was able to get out. Now 12 yrs later I have 3 beautiful boys and a wonderful hubby.

really great story but its sad that this type of situation happens more often then some people realize. I hope that your story gives someone out there the eye opener they need to see that there is someone out there whos willing to help you and that all they need to do is ask for it before its too late.

I like this, alot. I really really do.

 

the only thing is, I can't see Carlisle telling he is going to 'plan her escape' within maybe 5 minutes of talking to her. He has her medical records and a brief conversation with her. I would think before he would just, jump right in a play hero, he would make sure all his bases are covered and REALLY talk to her about her situation in detail. If I, personally, was Marie in that situation - I wouldn't take Carlisle's word for it, simply because a man who actually could do what he was claiming would spend more time with me on it before he promised me anything I think. I dunno...it just was kind of like...oh, this guy is gonna help you. dont worry about the fact you dont know him and he doesnt know you and your husband wants to kill you and maybe your family to get to you...you know? I dunno. probably would be overkill to write that whole conversation lol. I guess it was strictly the 'plan your escape' line that bothered me - it seemed much to soon to throw that line out there between them.

 

this so isn't meant to be a negative review, because I love it! I just dont like to tell authors something I dont like or that irks me, without explaining to them why so they know I am really thinking about it and am into their story and not just throwing comments around.

I know it might be a bit unrealistic, but I think once you read the following chapters, you'll see what I'm trying to do with it...I try to explain why he's so quick to help her out...I leave little hints here and there as to why in chapters two and three.

It's got promise...keep going!

I gotta say, I love "Sleeping with the Enemy" favorite parts are when she finds her bathroom towels all evened up and the kitchen cupboards reorganized- so cool that they made something innocent so scary!! best part of course is when she kills him!!!!!!
