I love how Edward is showing so much more maturity & sensitivity. Not too many chapters back he would have been embarassed for his guys at work to meet her & he certainly wouldn't have stopped. I wonder how relaxed Carlisle will be when it is Maddie instead of Edward he is talking about having sex?! I enjoy your original characters...especially Brian. Thanks for the update!

I so love this story. It's so good to see this two growing up, especially Edward. What a grown up thing to do, not to take your girlfriend's virginity when she's begging you because you want something better for her. He's so sweet, I love him too.

I have a problem with one of your lines --> "Honey, there are only so many roles you can fulfill in Edward's life. Mate is not one of them...outside of Australia, anyway," Carlisle pressed on. <-- I'm Australian and I found that comment offensive. We are not a country of incestual relationships, and I wish you wouldn't imply that. Maybe it was accidental or something, but really, Australia is rather civilised; we are no backwater country. Could you remove it or change it please?

Author's Response: In Australia, people refer to their friends as "mates" - so Carlisle was saying that she could be his 'mate' in Australia, as in his friend. I'll put an A/N in the next chapter to make sure everyone knows I wasn't insinuating incest.

And Esme... you have to admire her overprotectiveness... yet this time, I think she lost her focus.. and Carlisle was sooo right!! :P Props to dad!!! It's great to see Edward adressing them, without second thought, as mom and dad...
I'm so proud of him, he's really come a long way!!! He's grown so much... he kept a cool ..ehem.. head (the one above his shoulders) when the situation called for it. I think it would have been kind of a bummer for Bella to lose her virginity in the back of her dad's truck.. You have to give big big props to Edward... he behaved like the man he's becoming... like the man Bella needs and deserves. A better man. :D

it's a bummer that bella felt ready when there's only 12mins to spare! haha.. i mean, i totally agree with edward on this. it's really sweet that edward thinks like that. if he were the old edward, he would have jumped on bella in a snap. but this was different. he realized the fact that this would be making love and not just plain having sex. it's really really sweet. i fall in love with edward here more and more. =)

Teehee! Poor Edward, being afraid that Charlie would cut off his balls....how sweet! :) I love Charlie, all forms of him. Good for him for giving Eddie What For, and telling him about his step father...>Edward needs to hear that sort of thing and learn to control his temper. He's making great strides....keep at it, Edward!
Bella is brave to let him shave her.....that is ridiculously intimate! I don't know if I would/could sit thru that! yikes. Good that they got some smexin' time, too...prrr!
