just discovered this story and this was the first chapter i read (the title IS an eye catcher) now i'm so hooked! can't wait to read the rest of the story! it was definitely a monster chapter and thanks for writing it--actually cried through some parts--it was that powerful

Really great chapter! Edward being able to see Bella's made for some sweet moments.

But my favorite part was the fight between Charlie, Billy and Jacob. I always love stories where Charlie got a bigger part. I'm anxiou to see what else he will find out.

I'm so thrilled you enjoyed it as it was a seriously intense chapter to write. That entire La Push scene was a bit tricky because the personalities of the wolves are SO different from the Cullens. Throw in one pissed of police chief that also the father of the attack victim and it was a hellstorm of emotions. Ahhh. Thank you so so so much for the update, Lisa! I was so absolutely thrilled to read it.

I love how the scene in LaPush played out. How awesome is it that Jacob phased? Yes, he had a little wolfie tantrum, didn't he? I love how Charlie reacted, and how he asked Billy if this was a typical temper tantrum. I wonder about the spilled salt. Is it indicative of bad luck? Especially since no one threw any over their left shoulder?

Anyway, I'm sure Charlie does have some tough questions for the Cullens. I wonder how much they'll reveal to him.

I love how Edward is able to see the depth of Bella's love for him by reading her thoughts. Even if her mind closes to him again as she heals, which I hope it does, he should be able to understand and trust her love - that it's not a typical teenage crush.

I'm so thrilled you enjoyed it. I honestly didn't know Jacob was going to phase until he did. I thought it was going to Paul. Paul always screws up and phases when he shouldn't. So yeah - that shocked me too. ;) I don't know that the spilled salt has any greater meaning at this point, but you're right - no one picked some up and threw it over their shoulder to ward off bad luck and I have a feeling they could use all the help they can get. I'm curious to see how Charlie and the Cullens conversation plays out as well. I worry about how much more Charlie can take.
