Poor Rose and Esme.  Rose for all the stuff she's gone through in her short life, and while she may not be batshit crazy like Jasper she still does suffer.  Esme for feeling like she left her daughter, it will be a long while before she forgives herself for that.  Looking forward to the next chapter.

Oh, Ellie...somehow...I don't know how...but somehow....I made it through that chapter! No tears but bottom lip tremble. :( Esme..ugh...poor thing breaking down in tears while cleaning up the floor. And Rose...her POV and her thoughts of Edward..thats quite a sight to walk into there.

Great job on both of their POVs. :)

Esme is an angel!!  How hard would that be - to clean up the scene of such a tragic event for someone you love?  And Charlie.  He is a man who is broken right now.

Rosalie's assessment of the scene is so good.  Traumatic and difficult.  She also has the presence of mind to get Charlie back to the hospital. 

Great chapter.  I know more is coming (stuff that we all really want), but this chapter gave us some insight into all of the characters outside of Edward and Bella.

I'm numb. Sad. Desperate for this all to go away and everything to get better.  I know it will. 

 

Poor Charlie.  Poor Edward (sorry for wanting you to pay for what you did to Bella, please understand that was like back on chapter 14, plz say you forgive me. i am a different person now, seriously.).

So much grief and regret and hopelessness.  I know they all want Bella and the baby to be ok but can someone express a little hope.  Alice we need you to put some positive thoughts through to Edward. Or maybe in this story it will be Emmett.

I've never been one to warm up too much to Rosalie.  With the little I've heard from her in this story I like her.  She is always so tough, but I guess now I know why.

I really need a nekky Cullen right about now. And a drink.

Wow, I didn't think Esme's POV would hit me so hard. The way you had her thinking of Bella's last moments at her "closet" got me choked up. Great Job. Also, thank you for the Nekky Cullen references in the chapter notes. They always make me feel better. :)

congrats for making it to the the most reviewed list! you deserved it.. this chapter as evidence. great as always.. it didn't really occur to me that we haven't heard esme and rosalie's POV..but it's both beautiful and heartbraking just the same..what struck me most actually is esme's thoughts of "How did we get so far from the happiness of that time? " because she's right... it's been an awfully short amount of time and their world had turned upside down... but i guess everything will turn out alright in the end. i believe you and your promise of happy ending.. =)

I knew that once they saw Bella's living conditions that they would surely be in so much pain....and hearing this from the motherly devotion of Esme's eyes...that was brutal! i think that she will have nightmares for months about this incident for years!  wow...Rose's PV...i think she cares about Bella in her own way, not as much as the rest of them, so i guess it is easier to hear about this dire situation from her side, but it think this situation with Bella will allow Rose to grow a little out of her shell and maybe release some of the hard stuff that she has been carrying since the death of her parents....

Author's Response: Esme will definitely be haunted by this, but she is basically made of hope so she will overcome. Rose really does care for Bella but she closes herself off as a means of protection. The ultimate dispassionate observer. Thanks for reviewing!
