Jasper is always good for laying out right. Loved how Esme and Charlie's talk went now let's see how the little banshee herself and Bella work things out Because we need to see how everyone puts their two cents worth in on the Edward subject with her. My Cullen boy would be Edward of course with something quite racy from Victoria Secret! Oh Yeah!

First off, when you said this would be Jasper's POV I think I started bouncing off the walls, gotta love that Jasper.  And boy did he not disappoint.  I love how he tells it like it is, you can't pull anything over his gorgeous eyes.  I did laugh uncontrollably at Charlie calling Jasper "Looney Tunes", I think that made my night.  I'm looking forward to Alice and Emmett's POVs.  I think they will be a little sweeter than the others.  I think Bells is finally coming around a bit.

As for the incentive:  I'm going back with my Rocky Horror pick, and shopping with Alice for lingerie for Jasper to wear, yes I know I think maybe I need to spend a little time in the Padded Palace. LOL

I'm gonna have to stop reviewing because I just want to say the same thing every time, lol.

How can she NOT get it?

How can she not at least understand that Edward left her to protect her? She doesn't have to agree with it, she doesn't have to like it... but when Jasper brought it up, she acted like it was an impossible concept... like it didn't even make sense.

How can she can she not have understanding for something she herself did?

She left Charlie to protect him too. Not to protect him physically like Edward did... to protect his reputation is more like it... but still, to protect him, shelter him, none the less. She didn't want to disappoint him, didn't want him to have to deal with having a pregnant high school daughter, and be the laughing stock of the town.

It's just like in the books. In Twilight, Bella says all of those horrible and hateful things to Charlie so that he will let her leave Forks, so she can protect him by drawing the danger away from him. She didn't stop to ask Charlie if he wanted or needed that type of protection, she didin't involve him or his opinions in any way... she just made a decision and acted on it. If she had died in the ballet studio... Charlie would have spent the rest of his life thinking Bella hated him. But then in New Moon when Edward did the exact same thing... Bella acted like it was this new and preposterous idea. "How dare Edward play on my worst fears and lie to me!" "How dare Edward make decisions about my safety without consulting me!" "How dare Edward let me think for even a minute that I wasn't enough for him!" Welp... those are all of the EXACT same things Bella did to Charlie. She played on his worst fears, lied to him, made decisions for him, and made him think he wasn't enough for her. Yet... does anyone get mad at Bella for doing that in Twilight? No. They say she was justified... she was protecting her loved one... she was being a hero. And do people get mad at Edward for doing that in New Moon? Hell yes. Half of the fans split off into "team Jacob", and Edward has to spend the next 2 books paying for it and getting it rubbed in his face.

I have read probably 30 New Moon era stories between this site and fanfiction.net.... and in only ONE does Bella actually draw out and think about the correlation of her actions towards Charlie with the James situation, and Edward's actions towards her when he left. She forgives and takes back Edward in about half of the stories... but in only ONE does she actually have the thought "I would be a hypocrite not to forgive him, because I did the exact same thing". In all the other stories that she forgives him... she just plays it out as if she is forgiving him from the goodness of her heart, as if she is some saint because he doesn't deserve the forgiveness... despite the fact that she herself had made the exact same mistakes before.

So... I know I have ranted and raved on this enough ;) I am just going to hang back from here on out lol. It will be interesting to see whether or not your Bella actually makes out and thinks about the correlation between Edward's actions and her own.

Author's Response: In what I have written, I don't think I have any mental monologue about her drawing correlations between the situations, simply because of the style of the story. The way this is written is from the characters' emotional perspectives only, which don't usually have a lot of "rights" and "wrongs". I do think, however, it will become clear that Bella does acknowledge the role she played in this and her own need for forgiveness. You make incredible points in your review, with which I largely agree. Thank you for your comments.

Great chapter!  You know how I love your potty mouth Jasper!  He is just so fricking cute!  Still love Edward and I guess if I would go shopping with Alice it would have to be for Edward (I know he needs cheering up) and something to take his mind off his problems, lol   Love this story, updates make my day!

Gotta love potty mouth Jasper.  I love that he was straight talking with Bella.  I know its been rough for everyone to talk to Bella since she woke back up.  I think that everyone else was pussy footing around when they were talking to Bella and what she really needed was a good dose of Jasper.  I also love that Esme and Charlie had a good heart to heart.  I think that everyone is gonna have to work together to heal this family.

If Alice was going shopping for me, I would want her to pick out something sexy so that I could look more attractive and not just frumpy mom.  I would wear it for either Edward or Emmett, but in reality, I would settled for any of the Cullen men, LOL!
