I loved the ending, where Bella says, "You wish, fucker." That let me understand that she really does accept what Jasper said about Edward... but that she still needs time to think...

OMG...Jasper is a NUT! But he tells it like it is that's for sure! Gotta Love him!!! He rocks! Great chapter. And I agree, Esme always knows what to say to put people at ease. Can't wait for more. Great job!!!
If I went shopping for an evening with Edward, I would buy a pair of horn rimmed glasses so that we could play library. But if I was spending an evening with Jasper, I'd to buy a pair of cowboy boots with spurs because that boy needs some reigning in!!! Either way, I'd be a hppy happy camper!

I thought it was kind of wrong that Charlie called Jasper "Looney Toons". I mean calling the guy that knocked up your baby girl "pretty boy" is one thing but an adult giving a kid a hard time about being mentally ill seems kind of mean. I think he should apologize.
I liked this chapter even if Charlie was mean.
Author's Response: Aw - I don't think Charlie was trying to be mean. He's a good man. I think that it's assumed from prior chapters that all of them had a relationship with Charlie and Charlie was just teasing him because he knows Jasper can take it. But I can see what you mean and I'm sorry it came off that way :(

Ahh shopping with Alice. This one's difficult.
Well I have been working my way through "Dark Salvation" so in this frame of mind I have to choose some super sexy, leather, four-inch-heel, thigh-high, lace-up, fuck me boots.
And I pick Jasper. But not just any Jasper. An imalgm of Jaspers. One part your sharp-tongued southern comfort. One part tortured soul with a painful past. Two parts playful and protective dominant. Masper.
As for what I would do with him?
WHATEVER THE FUCK HE TELLS ME TO!!

Gawd I fucking ADORE your Jasper!
Truth is, even in canon, I never quite understood how Jasper could let Edward leave Bella. Not only would he be fueled by the need to make it right to appease his own guilt for loosing control at the birthday fiasco, but with his talent he would have felt Edward's pain in his decision. Maybe he wasn't around when Edward chose to leave? Maybe he and Alice ran away somewhere and Alice didn't tell him of Edward's decision?
That's why I live fanfiction. You can pick apart each character and their actions and reactions and rationalize and theorize..
Anyway, seriously love that Jasper spit it out like that. Only someone in Jasper's position would be able to cut through the bullshit like that. I'm glad Bella made peace with him first. It makes sense, if she has any hope of being with Edward, to clear the way of any past pitfalls. Very nice.
Next chappie is Alice eh? Can we combine Alice and Emmett maybe? Throw Rose in too? I'm just anxious for her to see the baby.. then Edward of course. But I really need her to see her daughter. Part of me thinks she would have demanded that first, from Carlisle, before anything else. Usually hospitals are very understanding of Mother's needing to see their children, so long as neither is in medical danger for it. Maybe that needs to be explained, if Lizzie is being kept in the nursery for her health.
Fantastic chapter, as always. I am more reliant than I should be on your regular updates.You own me.
Author's Response: I am sorry. I thought it was clear that the baby isn't yet with her because she is still in an incubator and being monitored in the ICU. Edward is working on getting her to Bella as soon as she is stable enough. I wish now I had stressed that more... On the plus side, it will not be long at all now. Chp 41! Squee! That was one hell of a kick ass chapter! That there was what we like to call TOUGH LOVE! It was all she needed to hear acknowledge and understand hopefully she listens to the wise one! I really appreciate the up front in your face brutally honest truth!
As far as the incentive I am keeping that one to myself. But I think of so many naughty Halloween costumes come to mind. As for picking a Cullen of your choice HMM Carlisle = Naughty Nurse, Emmett = Naughty Goldilocks, Jasper = Naughty Cowgirl or Dallas Cheerleader, and Edward = I still see a little naughty school girl uniform LOL As far as what would happen the imagination is a wonderful place!
