Good stuff. I love that Esme is finally putting her foot down and telling him to be an adult now. Good for her. I think the next leg of the story will be told by Charlie? That would be interesting to hear his struggles as he deals with all of this.
Author's Response: You will *definitely* hear from Charlie, but not quite yet.
I'm glad you liked Esme's role. It was originally going to be Alice, but Esme just came out when I was writing it.

Srsly, that was heartwrenching. Esme was AMAZING. What she said to him was brilliant. She told him what he needed to hear and she did it in such a great manner.
I loved how you repeated the phrases, it made it so much more emotional.
So good.
Author's Response: I wanted to get into his head and pour it out on the paper, so to speak. You know how, when your trying to deal with something, it just plays over and over in your head? That's why I did it.

am i bad that i read this with a smile on my face? and bravo to esme for telling him his pity party is over and time to be an adult and a father..... i hope that the next pov is bella but the reality is, i would love it to be edward getting to the hospital and dealing with all of that. any word as to whether it is a little bella or edward?

I love Esme. Poor Edward. Poor Bella. It's so sad.
Thank you for putting up more! If you took a long time it would have been horrible.
But this is sort of a cliffhanger too. We still don't know what is going to happen. I wonder how the reunion is going to go.
P.S. My favorite line was "You can be a child for a moment longer.”

Gut-wrenching, tear-inducing, lip-biting, chest-heaving bundle of goodness. I admire you for pouring so much emotion into each chapter. It must be SO draining to write. I appreciate you staying frequent on updates, and I love to hear your replies to my reviews. I may just check out the thread next. :)
The repetitions ("I left her. I left her. I left her.") were magnificant, Esme's reaction was perfect, Edward's reasoning through his pain was lovely.

You're so right. It's *so* hard to bury so deeply into a character to get to the heart of emotions. This chapter was devestating. Worse are to come (Bella's, oh god).

Absolutely brilliant! I am bawling my eyes out here. Especially the last line and Edward bidding farewell to his childhood. It is like he went into that bathroom a boy and he will come out a man. A really powerful chapter. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Hence my reason for making this two chapters. He goes in a boy in 17, then has to learn to be a man by the end of 18. It's also why I used the venom imagery. Transformation.
