My husband of ten years now never really proposed.  He came home and was really nervous came up to me and I thought he was going to break up with me instead he bends down to where I was sitting and say's "Do you want to set a date or what?"  I asked, a date for what  He say's You know the wedding.  So we set a date.

I like unconventional proposals, so I thought that was OK.  I wonder what the label people will think of them getting married... they won't be able to use the sex-kitten promoting if Bella is married...

My hubby did the traditional "get down on one knee" thing and I was waiting for the traditional words, but he looked right at me and said, "Are you gonna marry me or not?"

I cracked up and of course I said yes.

can i just say how much your review made my day?  i've been having some serious problems trying to get hired right now--i haven't had much success, especially this soon after graduating...what i really want to do is be a screenwriter...and to have you say that your support just made me resolute to try harder and send out more writing samples and hopefully get my stuff out to some agents :)

I really love this story. So you asked about proposals, here's mine.

My Jonathan first asked me to marry him 2 weeks after we started going out. We had been playing poker with a bunch of friends and I took him out of the game. We were sitting around after the game and he looked at me and said "Will you marry me?" and I said to him "Yeah, sure." to that he said "Great." After that he asked me time and time again to marry him, but always in a very casual way (no ring). Our real proposel came 3 year later Christmas morning after all our other gifts were opened, he surprised me with a ring and asked again this time properly on bended knee and everything for me to be his wife. It was one of the happiest moments in my life.

Well, I never was expecting a run-of-the-mill type proposal....not with this story. So in my book, it was absolutely perfect, right there on the bathroom floor. And even within the context (on the bathroom floor, after being Edward being drugged and puking his guts up all night) it was still so romantic and sweet and humorous and a little bit awkward and just completely Edward and Bella.

I loved the new and improved Edward and the new and improved set list. I think I remember saying way back when we had the first set list chapter that I was looking forward to seeing how it progressed with the story and it definitely did not disappointment. Not that the music is actually better or worse, but that Edward had become a better man, a better person since the beginning. And I love it.

I loved that Emmett realized what was going on with Edward....and that Alice didn't. She's gonna be pissed at all she's missed on New Year's Eve. Jasper better have made it good for her, lol.

I was utterly shocked that Lauren slipped him a roofie. I just really didn't see that one coming. But I loved how even drugged, Edward was fighting them over taking his jacket.

Thought Bella's story about how during the night, Edward got up and drank a bottle of Listerine was hilarious. Do you really pee blue if you drink Listerine? I have a feeling on our next drunk night out I'm going to pose that question to my girls, lol. Wonder which one of them I can convince to drink Listerine? Oh, who am I kidding? Most likely I'll be the drunk idiot that agrees to try it. :D

As for my dream proposal (which I am definitely in no hurry to get to....yay for being single!) but I think a proposal should be specific and special to the couple, like Edward's proposal here. A giant sign at a baseball game may work for some people, but it would never have sufficed for these two. So my dream proposal would be specific to the guy and our relationship, though as for location I could imagine a perfect set-up on a hike in a beautiful forest, or at a creek or waterfall in the woods, or a library/bookstore.  So you can pass that on to Edward for me, lol, or better yet, Jasper! ;D

okay, first i just have to tell you -- yes, the listerine thing is real.  i was roofied my freshman year of college, and apparently my best friend, who found me (and was completely sober) thought it would be really funny to see what would happen, and didn't stop me.  yeah...i peed blue the entire next day.  seriously.  it was disgusting.  and he just kept cracking up.  i guess i couldn't be too mad, though, cause he did take care of me when i was completely blacked out, and let me spend the night in his bed when i was adamantly against going to sleep in my own, haha.

also, i found band of skulls a few weeks ago, and i've been totally obsessed with them ever since.  you should DEFINITELY look at the entire album.  my other fave songs are, "honest" "cold frame" "i know what i am" and "diamonds and pearls" -- i'm glad i could add some more awesome songs to your music library :)

thanks for the review, per usual.  i'm glad you're still enjoying everything!  but...fun fact, when this wraps up -- i already have another story in the works, os...life won't be without me for too long, haha.

I'm happy that they are engaged. yay! I agreed with Edward's strategy of not planning it out and just letting it happen. I thought that he was going to propose on stage.

I was proposed to in Italy on top of one of the many cathedrals we visited. I was shaking so much that I barely made it back down to the ground (t was almost 600 steps to the top).
