I'm just catching on now at this point - and I'm really enjoying your angle.  Though I did miss the Edward/Bella interaction in this chapter.  Hope to see them together soon...

Loved the update!  I really like your Bella's thought processes: already coming to the conculsion that Edward is undead, but not really caring that much about it.  And the conversation at lunch...priceless...especially when she pokes a little bit at Jess with the text message.

Lol, I liked the reactions of her schoolmates.  And a dinner with Charlie, Edward, AND Alice should be very interesting!

The only thing that kind of bothers me about the way this story is unfolding is the pacing.  I know in the book/movie things went fast for them, but here it seems to be moving even quicker, and there is a bit of a lack of some of the events that helped to lead up to everything.  Also, Bella seems to have reacted a bit more extremely than I would have thought to not being able to hear Edward's heartbeat - not because he doesn't have one (yeah, that would set me off!), but because she couldn't hear it and jumped to the conclusion that he was "undead" with that, without considering the possibility that she was wrong/mistaken. 

That said, however, I really enjoyed the way you played into that little revelation about the heartbeat.  And even with some of these reservations, I'm still really enjoying the fic, and hope to get some more B/E interaction soon!

I probably should have been a little clearer in her observations up till now. See, she has been noticing the cold skin, not eating, eye color change, talking like he's a grandpa, and now the sunlight. She knows something isn't right about him before not hearing his heartbeat. But she has been putting it in the back of her brain, trying not to think about it. But all the sudden , her fears are confirmed. They danced for about 5 minutes before she puts 2 and 2 together. Maybe it's just me but I have great hearing and would definitely be able to hear a guy's heartbeat if I had my head on his chest for 5 minutes. As far as the events going too fast, this is truly love at first sight. It will become apparent later that they don't know enough about each other. It'll all make sense, trust me. Stick with it, this will be a wild ride.

Here's exactly what I wrote in my story summary, you know, the paragraph under the title you clicked on to read my fanfic:

What if Edward and Bella acted like regular seventeen year olds? With all the passion, lust, and curiosity that comes with being a teenager. Would Edward be able to keep both monsters in check? And will there be other more disturbing consequences to his lack of control besides just giving in? Can their new love handle anything?

I'm not understanding why you thought this story would have the typical Bella. If I wrote her just like she was in Twilight, that would be boring.

Poor, poor Edward.  Thinking that he's lost her, but this could be a great thing.  She'll already know that something's up and it won't be a complete shock to her.

*sigh* Dancing with Edward.  Yes.  That's nice...heartbeats are so unnecessary :)

And I'm with you on the paparatzzi thing.  I think he's going to explode and I can kinda picture him getting hard into drugs.  He's kinda a shy guy, from what people say, and that's gotta be hard.  And the guy's really young.  It's got to be difficult to deal with being unknown one day and then everyone suddenly caring about your hair and what you smell like.

I hope he can deal.
